Another Riverdale Conspiracy Theory

Is Betty Cooper's brother the Black Hood?

Betty and her long lost Brother “Chic”

Though he’s only appeared in one episode that we know of, so far I have reasoning to believe that Chic, Betty’s long lost older brother that her mother gave up for adoption in her Serpent days, could possibly be the Black Hood. It does seem crazy, but believe me, the dude is creepy inside and out.

From his mysterious job, to his weird dark room in an unsafe looking palace for drugs, and weird walks by the Coopers in the past. Everything we currently know about this dude is creepy. Not to mention when Betty and Alice went to visit the bright-eyed, blonde-headed boy, he got upset and asked them to immediately leave because had a client coming over soon. In response Alice asked him what he does, and he replied with he "fulfills guilty pleasures." Which sounds incredibly wacko,

Near the end of episode 210, Archie was in his soundproof garage made by his brave father, speaking with the FBI guy. Tough the topic was mostly about business with the lodges and a recent accident with a business partners son, a question popped up asking if the man thought that Archie and Betty had caught the right guy, AKA the Black Hood. I mean, I'll admit it, I personally believed that the Black Hood days were through with after the Janitor was caught in action, but you never know the mysteries Riverdale has to come.

Now, let’s take this back a couple of episodes. Various times the “Black Hood” has told Betty that he and her were connected. Which could be because they are SIBLINGS. Though it was hard to see his eye color, I believe he shares the bright eyes his mother and two sisters also share, which could explain those bright green eyes that Archie just can’t seem to drain from his mind.

Anyways, if Chic is the Black Hood, which is highly believable, then he has some serious heat with his mom and her husband, Hal.

At the very end of the most recent episode that just aired on January 17th (2018), Chic made a very strange approach to Betty as she was sleeping silently in her bedroom. Now, either he really loves his sister for saving his life or he just got the easy way in to a prolonged trap that he had been planning.

Another thing that led me to believe this crazy but possible theory is that when Alice and Betty went to go see Chic for the first time since he had been placed in a fostering system is that he had already knew who they were and where they lived. Some serious jealousy also went down in his little apartment between him and Betty considering she had the chance and was lucky enough to grow up and be raised by their shared mother, Alice Cooper.

If Chic was to be the Black Hood, us Riverdale fans have some serious questions. Like, why would he target Archie's dad, Reggie, or any of Betty's friends. And WHY would he make Betty stop being friends with multiple people by threatening their lives to her; he is absolutely insane.

I guess even with all of this curiosity, all that us fans can do in the mean time is wait and see how everything rolls out in the end. Hopefully this time the Riverdale team doesn't leave us hanging like the end of season 1 though I understand why they do it, to keep us watching. Until then us fans will have to break out in full on Betty detective mode.

Do you believe that Chic is the Black Hood?
