With Fuller House season 3B premiering Friday on Netflix, here’s a recap of the season 3A finale, “Wedding or Not Here We Come,” in case anyone needs a refresher of where the cliffhangers left off!

At the start of the episode, the gang had five hours until they left for Steve's wedding in Japan. Candace makes sure the kids are packed while Stephanie tells Kimmy that the fertility clinic sent a list of a bunch of potential donors and if she’s going to try to have a baby, she needs to pick a baby daddy as soon as possible.

Upon hearing news of donors, Kimmy questions why Stephanie is not choosing her boyfriend, Jimmy, as the baby daddy. After all, she “can’t do better than Gibbler DNA." However, Stephanie says that, although she loves Jimmy, she thinks it is “way too soon to ask for a lifelong commitment” and she does not want to put that kind of pressure on their relationship. She also makes Kimmy promise not to tell Jimmy. We wonder how long that will last?

DJ frantically searches for her passport and Stephanie points out that it’s in DJ’s pocket. Kimmy tries to explain away DJ’s odd behavior as the losing Steve blues, but DJ responds, “No, Kimmy you’re away off. I am super happy for Steve & CJ.” Yet Stephanie points out she just put her passport in the freezer. Baffled, DJ says she doesn’t know what’s wrong with her and why she’s so scattered. Stephanie claims she doesn’t know what DJ’s problem is either because she already has Matt who’s sweet, smart, and looks amazing in bike shorts.

However, Kimmy won’t let up and questions, “but is he perfect for DJ?” and says, “There’s only one scientific way to find out—an online Buzzfeed quiz. Thanks to this quiz I knew I should marry Fernando and divorce him. It’s foolproof.”

Candace disregards her and says she’s not putting Matt through “some stupid quiz” and that her little freakout is over and she’s “super excited to be going to Japan,” yet her passport pops out of her toaster, showing that her freakout isn’t over. Her subconscious mind definitely doesn’t want to go to Japan, or better yet, to Japan for Steve’s wedding.

Popko gives Ramona a card, asking if he can see other girls while she’s gone for five days and says him hanging out with other girls will ease the pain of missing her. In response, Ramona dumps him and tells him he can see all of the girls he wants except for her and that she’s put up with his selfishness too long.

Max sees Fernando all dressed up and inquires why he’s dressed so nicely for the airport. Fernando tells Max he wants to look nice for first class and he never pays for first class because he dresses to impress, makes up a sob story no flight attendant can resist, and cries real tears. They then offer him a free seat in first class where there are bottomless hot fudge sundaes. When he hears about the hot fudge sundaes, Max is officially sold on the idea of first class, but Fernando tells him he’ll never make it to first class. As Fernando walks away, Max thinks up a plan to prove him wrong.

Kimmy comes downstairs and sees Jimmy, who says he’s sad. She immediately replies, “I don’t blame you. Stephanie should have asked you to be her baby daddy.” However, Jimmy was just sad that he burned the last pop-tart and had no clue about Stephanie, but now says he’s “extra sad." Kimmy shrugs off her slip-up, saying, “Whoopsies, well at least I kept Stephanie’s secret for 22 minutes.” Jimmy asks why Stephanie didn’t pick him to be the baby daddy and Kimmy explains she was “afraid that it was too much too soon, plus there were a lot of strong choices in her donor files—geniuses, artists, even a notary public.” Defeated, Jimmy responds, “Oh man, those guys are so cool.”

Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Stephanie pours wine into a bunch of empty mini shampoo sized bottles because you’re only allowed to bring three oz. of liquid in each container and Kimmy begins to read the Buzzfeed quiz to determine if Matt is right for DJ.

The first question is: Is he considerate? As Matt walks in, Kimmy explains that DJ slept wrong last night and her neck is stiff and acts like she’s bad at massaging to see if Matt will get the hint and help DJ out. Instead he just assures Kimmy she’s probably doing fine and says his neck is sore too and that he’s next in line for a massage. Strike one.

The second question is: Does he notice the little things? Kimmy asks Matt if he notices anything new about DJ, to which Matt asks why he feels like he’s on a quiz show. Kimmy tells him “don’t be ridiculous” and that he has ten seconds, GO! LOL, gotta love Kimmy. Matt guesses, “new earrings, shoes, pants, blouse, botox?” Kimmy tells him the answer they were looking for was: new highlights in her hair. Strike two.

The third question category is: listening skills. Kimmy tells DJ to tell Matt about her crazy dream. DJ tells Matt that he’s got this and she’s already told him. However, he doesn’t remember and tells her to remind him. She says “I was a raccoon and I robbed a bank and I thought it was really funny because raccoons look like old timey bank robbers,” yet Matt says it wasn’t ringing any bells and DJ questions, “Really? Because you smiled, nodded and said ‘uh-huh’ a lot.” Matt then dodges and skips out of the kitchen because he left something in his other bag. Strike three.

Steve then enters the kitchen and immediately notices and compliments DJ on her highlights and lowlights and says “it’s a great contrast” showing that he notices the little things. He also brought DJ a neck pillow for the plane because he says he knows how her neck gets stiff, proving he’s considerate. Lastly, he explains that he researched her crazy dream and the raccoon is a symbol of deception, which means that she might be hiding some deep feelings, maybe even from herself. HE LISTENS. Also, duh, she’s hiding feelings! Steve then says he’ll see them at the airport and leaves. After he leaves, all three girls are left stunned and Kimmy simply says, “in the wise words of Salt-N-Pepa ‘what a man, what a man, what a mighty good man’."

Just when it’s starting to sink in that Steve is the perfect one, Matt comes back into the kitchen with a gift basket he made DJ for the trip with all of her favorite snacks in case she gets hungry. Oooh, can you say “considerate?" He even added Dramamine because he remembered that DJ told him that she gets motion sickness. What a good listener! Oh, and he included some lavender scented hand lotion because he knows she loves lavender. That’s right, he pays attention to the little things, too! Wow, we totally understand how DJ loves both of them!

Kimmy tells Ramona she saw the news about her and Popko’s breakup on Snapchat. LOL, Kimmy Gibbler WOULD be on Snapchat! Ramona admits although she’s a little sad, she knows she did the right thing. Yet, Kimmy insists that Ramona doesn’t need to stay strong for her and that she can cry on her shoulder. Ramona tries to tell her that she’s fine but Kimmy says she isn’t leaving until she makes Ramona feel better and orders her to cry, causing Ramona to fake cry over Popko. LOL, we love Kimmy’s quirky parenting style.

Later on, when they’re all ready to leave, Jimmy asks Stephanie why he can’t be her baby daddy. Stephanie is appalled Kimmy told him, but Jimmy insists she held out for “22 minutes” which Kimmy says is a new record. C’mon, did Stephanie really think Kimmy was going to keep a secret? Stephanie dodges the question by saying she doesn’t want to have this conversation right now. Jimmy questions whether it’s because he’s not “a genius, or an artist, or a hot shot notary public,” but Stephanie simply tells him she loves him and leaves.

On the plane, Fernando tries to get into first class by telling the flight attendant his Japanese grandmother is very, very sick, and the only thing that can ease his pain is seat 3B in first class. However, the flight attendant tells him “unfortunately that seat was just taken by a little boy who tragically doesn’t have long to live." Max then appears from first class saying, “Hello, coachboy." Beat at his own game, Fernando is sent to sit in his actual seat, which is next to the bathrooms and a screaming baby. Go Max!

Jimmy runs onto the plane, and when Stephanie questions what he’s doing there, he responds, “I bought a one way ticket to Japan so that we could talk about you trying to have a baby. Why would you want to do that without me? I’m your boyfriend. I’ve got just as much to offer as any of those possible baby daddies, just watch this.” Jimmy then says, “genius” and solves a Rubik’s Cube, “artist” and plays the flute and lastly, “hot shot notary public” and notarizes a book. He then says, “Think about it, Steph, your face and my rock-hard abs—our baby would be beautiful and totally ripped." Stephanie still tells him she’s not ready to have this discussion and he says he needs to get off the plane because he couldn’t afford a return ticket and he really doesn’t want “to live in Japan forever." However, Jimmy also says “there’s no one who will love you and that baby more than I will,” which finally causes Stephanie to respond with “If you’re really up for this then I say that we try to make a baby.” They then kiss happily.

That night, Matt asks Kimmy if she minds sitting with DJ because he has an important question for Stephanie. Kimmy obliges and Matt explains that he plans to propose to DJ in Japan and asks Stephanie if DJ will say yes. Stephanie says of course, to which Matt responds, “that’s great news because I love her and I lost the receipt for the ring.” He then questions if there’s really a Team Matt and a Team Steve. Stephanie replies, “No. Two grown women betting $35 on DJ’s love life? That is so juvenile and I’m totally going to win.”

Kimmy tells DJ that she can’t believe they’re on their way to a wedding that DJ never thought she’d go to unless she was the bride. DJ says that’s enough and she’s just going to listen to some Michael Bublé. The shampoo (Stephanie’s wine) is already kicking in and she’ll see her in Tokyo as she pulls her face mask and headphones on, tuning out the world.

As DJ’s resting, Steve approaches and asks if Kimmy could please go sit with Fernando because he’s freaking out sitting next to the screaming baby. Kimmy agrees to go help calm him down and Steve sits next to DJ. With her face mask still on, DJ doesn’t realize Steve is now sitting next to her and says, “Kimmy, I can’t sleep. This is driving me nuts. You were right. It is going to be hard to watch Steve get married. I mean, I should have told him at the reunion that I was going to pick him to be my boyfriend instead of Matt. I know, it’s tearing me apart. I feel like I’m losing my soulmate. It’s too late now. I can’t tell Steve. It would totally freak him out.” In response to the silence, DJ simply replies, “Yeah, you’re right. There’s nothing more to say. Goodnight,” as she puts her headphones back on. Meanwhile, Steve does indeed look totally freaked out and is seen downing one of the mini wine bottles.

Will DJ break up Steve’s wedding or will she accept Matt’s proposal? Tune in to Fuller House season 3B on NetflixonFriday, December 22nd to find out!
