It's been reported that The Big Bang Theory executive producer Steven Molaro will be introducing not only Penny's mother to show, but her brother too! It has been announced that Jack McBrayer will be the brother to Penny. Over the past nine years of the show, we have met the family members to Sheldon, Leonard, Raj and Howard. But now it's Penny's turn (again)! Apart from Penny's father (played by Keith Carradine), the rest of her family has remained a big mystery until now.

During the panel talk at the 2016 Comic-Con, the producers announced to the public that actress Katey Sagal and Jack McBrayer will be joining the cast of the hit CBS show, which is slated to enter it's tenth season this fall. Katey's character is called Susan and is stressed out and neurotic from a life dealing with her incredibly cheerful, but troublesome, son. However, with Penny's brother being a drug dealer and ex-con, we have sympathy for Susan.

Katey has recently said this in a statement:

Always ready to be Kaley's mom.

This isn't the first time Kaley Cuoco and Katey have worked together either. They portrayed a dynamic mother and daughter duo on the well-known sitcom 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter.

With two new members of Penny's family introduced to the show, it ticks off another item on the list of things to do before the show ends. It's currently rumored that the show will be coming to a close after Season 10 which airs on Monday September 19th, 2016. However, the main cast of the show, are keen to continue on to doing an eleventh season next year. Will the producers extend out their (astronomically expensive) contracts (which are running out rather soon)?
