When #Daredevil Season 1 aired on Netflix, within just eleven days we'd had confirmation that there'd be a Season 2. For Jessica Jones, which released November 30th last year, we've had a much more tense wait - but finally it's been confirmed!
According to Variety, #MarvelNetflix has signed up to a second season of 13 episodes. But the question is, when will this series air? Some fans are pointing to the speed of Daredevil Season 2 - due out in March this year - as an indication we could well have Krysten Ritter back in action by the end of the year, or early 2017 at the latest. But that's doubtful; in earlier interviews, showrunner Melissa Rosenberg has been careful to manage fan expectations.
"There are logistics involved, because Defenders has to shoot by a certain time, contractually."

In any case, unlike Charlie Cox's Daredevil, Jessica Jones is guaranteed a return in another Marvel Netflix series - Luke Cage. She is his girlfriend, after all...
Still, fans can breathe a sigh of relief. All those intriguing future plots, exploring Jessica's origin and perhaps leading to the rise of Rachael Taylor's Patsy as Hellcat, won't just be loose ends left dangling!
