My Experiences

On my way to the con.

I had the pleasure of being at Montreal Comicon the weekend of July 7th 2017. My 2nd consecutive con. Last year I was honor and nervous to meet the awesome John Barrowman. You might know him as Malcolm Merlyn on the WC's Arrow or as the wonderful Captain Jack Harkness of Torchwood. It was awesome and I was so nervous... He pulled me into a hug during the photo op.

Fast forward a year...I was with my friends as last year. This year I decided to go in costume...What did I go as you might ask?...the Suicide Squad version of Harley Quinn.

I was in the garden cafeteria of the Palais de Congres Saturday having a meal with my friends and we see a rear view of Nathan Filion. Made our day.

Ironically on Sunday, I am walking back to my friends' table after visiting the little puddin's room and as I am walking... in Harley costume... back to the table who should I lock eyes with but none other than Nathan Fillion. I smile and he says "You look great!" He continues walking past me. I run to the table totally fangirling. Captain tight pants complemented my tight pants. Not long after that David Tennant walks by and winks and my friend. Both of us fangirling.

My Klingon friend (whose picture is in the Montreal Gazette btw) goes for a photo op with the fabulous Tony Todd. You might remember him from The Crow, Hercules the Legendary journeys etc. We join him...his wife and I (still wearing Harley). We take the picture and he says for them to take another one. I am suddenly brought into a hug. Loved it.

We proceed to go to Tony Todd's autograph table. He is very sweet, taking the time to answer fan questions. He even answered my question... I had to ask about working with Brandon Lee. He could have said no but he answered me. He gave details about that fateful day. I forgot to bring my Crow DVD... darn it. He gave each one of us a great hug and continued talking to people. Love this guy.

While at the con we met up with some great people. A group of bikers who champion an exceptional cause... bullying. Hats off to you gentlemen and ladies who do excellent work. We also saw some great cosplays. Here is hoping that next year will be another epic experience.

Sorry for not having photos of the con but I had no pockets in my get up.
