Yeah I'm trying to drag you in with animated bats.

I had a look at the best Superhero Movies according to IMDB and Metacritic and did basically no math to see which was really the best.

First off, I just don't agree.

Secondly, there's more than ten films on the list.

10. 'Batman Begins' / 'Captain America: Civil War'

The first appearance of Batman and Iron Man on the list.

Batman Begins:

IMDB Rating: 8.3/10

Metacritic Score: 70/100

Captain America: Civil War:

IMDB Rating: 7.8/10

Metacritic Score: 75/100

Overall: 7.65

One of these made a billion dollars worldwide. Do you know which one?

If I'm being totally honest I don't think Batman Begins is that good, it's not bad at all, just, a bit whatever.

Civil War is just so much fun.

9. 'Thor: Ragnarok' / 'X-Men Days Of Future Past'

Couple of glorious Australians just fucking shit up.

Thor: Ragnarok:

IMDB Rating: 8/10

Metacritic Score: 74/100

X-Men: Days Of Future Past:

IMDB Rating: 8/10

Metacritic Score: 74/100

Overall: 7.7

Neither of these made a billion but one of them had to make more than the other. Any ideas?

I really enjoyed both of these movies, if I had to push one ahead of the other it would be Thor for sure. But Days of Future Past is easily in the top three main X-men films, actually top two.

8. 'Superman II'

I don't like any of Superman's films, I'm sorry.

IMDB Rating: 6.8

Metacritic Score: 87/100

Overall: 7.75

Yeah sure guys, put this on the list but not the Hellboy films. Have you even seen the Hellboy films? They're fucking great. I mean I guess he's not quite a Superhero but whatever, he should be here.

7. 'Spider-Man 2'

What a fucking great film.

IMDB Rating: 7.3/10

Metacritic Score: 83/100

Overall: 7.8

Somehow this made the least amount of money of the Sam Raimi trilogy. What were we all doing with our lives.

That Taxi scene. That train scene. That bank scene. Basically every scene. Fucking great movie.

6. 'Guardians Of The Galaxy'

Bopping to the 80's.

IMDB Rating: 8.1/10

Metacritic Score: 76/100

Overall: 7.85

Marvel discovers the power of colour.

It's just a ridiculous and fun time from start to finish. The characters are glorious; this is top tier Marvel.

5. 'Batman: Mask Of The Phantasm' / 'Logan' / 'Iron Man'

Oh look it's Batman and Iron Man in the same spot again. Also ya boi Hugh's back.

Batman: Mask Of The Phantasm:

IMDB Rating: 7.9/10

Logan:

IMDB Rating: 8.1/10

Metacritic Score: 77/100

Iron Man:

IMDB Rating: 7.9/10

Metacritic Rating: 79/100

Overall: 7.9

All of these are incredible for very different reasons.

Also which one made the most, huh? Here's a clue: it wasn't Batman.

An animated Batman film containing one of the best uses of The Joker ever and Batman's most believable love interest? Yes, please.

You know what we could do with Wolverine? What? Make it an R-Rated western. You fucking genius.

How do we compete with Nolan's Batman films? Let's just release our version of Batman, but like, fun and bright. Ooo, I like it. Also shall we change the shape of movies forever and start a connected universe of movies? Yes, yes we should.

4. 'Superman'

Ugh ok, fine.

IMDB Rating: 7.3/10

Metacritic Score: 86/100

Overall: 7.95

HELLBOY 2 THOUGH. GO AND WATCH HELLBOY.

3. 'The Dark Knight Rises'

Oh look it's bats again, wonder if we'll see him again?

IMDB Rating: 8.4/10

Metacritic Score: 78/100

Overall: 8.1

The thing I remember most about this is everyone on the planet doing really shit Bane impressions.

This is not the third best Superhero movie of all time people. But you do you; we can have different views.

2. 'The Incredibles'

Golden age Pixar.

IMDB Rating: 8/10

Metacritic Score: 90/100

Overall: 8.5

How hype are we all for The Incredibles 2? All the hype, yes, I agree.

Pixar and Rad Bird did Fantastic Four better than Fox ever could. Not only that, but the story is solid, and the characters are amazing. Who doesn't love Edna Mode? The villain makes sense. It's just good, isn't it?

Runner Ups: 'Big Hero 6' / 'Wonder Woman' / 'Avengers'

11th / 12th / 13th

Big Hero 6:

IMDB Rating: 7.8/10

Metacritic Score: 74/100

Overall: 7.6

Wonder Woman:

IMDB Rating: 7.5/10

Metacritic Score: 76/100

Overall: 7.55

The Avengers / Avengers Assemble:

IMDB Rating: 8.1/10

Metacritic Score: 69/100

Overall: 7.5

You know, in a way, these are all game changers for the Superhero genre.

It's pretty obvious which one made the most here. The Avengers made so much it's a whole $39 million ahead of the other two combined.

I'm not a massive fan of Big Hero 6. I thought it was fine. Wonder Woman was pretty good. I feel around eleventh is a fair placement. Thirteenth for The Avengers is also a fair spot.

1. 'The Dark Knight'

Most interesting villains winner.

IMDB Rating: 9/10

Metacritic Score: 82/100

Overall: 8.6

We all knew this was going to happen. Nolan's best film. DC's best film. The best live action Joker.

It's also a bunch of U.K. peeps and an Aussie. Don't worry, there's plenty of Americans.

It was also the first Superhero movie to reach that ever growing billion dollar club.

Can I just say all I want is a Batman movie like the Arkham Asylum game. Please. Give me it.

Keep an eye out! These tees are soon to be cheaper than ever. Honestly, I don't know how they do it.
