Hello and welcome to part 3 of "We Need A Haiku To Save Us" in which we use the underrated art of haiku to examine our favorite spandex wearing face punchers. This installment we look at one of the most loved, and as of late much debated Marvel characters Captain America himself, Steve Rogers. These haikus run the gamut throughout the Captains lengthy career, covering him at different times in his life.

Without further blathering, here come the haikus!

Jin the war effortCaptain America didSo why shouldn't you?

Steve Rogers, frozen

His young ward Bucky is deadThe war is over

Arnim Zola laughs“Now I can be everwhere!”A shield doth strikes him

A Man Out of TimeOnly a few know his plightThe few, tho mighty

Abraham Erskinea scientific geniusVictim of hubris

The Red Skull Storms inRogers gears up to strike himThe cosmic cube glows

Time has been undoneHYDRA has taken overWith Steve as despot

Cap may be damn tough

But he's just a Brooklyn boy

In his heart of hearts

As he regains sightHe's shocked to see an Iron Man

“Welcome back, Captain”

Baron Zemo thinks

“I must find the rune stones first”Rogers must prevail

Sam Wilson swoops downHe drops Cap in HYDRAS fortit's up to him now
