An achievement hunter is a person on Xbox who hunts for something called achievements. Achievements are in every Xbox game that comes out. Every time a game is released the achievement list for the game is always released first so that Xbox achievement hunters can know what they're up against before the game is released, kind of like giving a gamer a small look at what the game is gonna be like before it is released to the public. If you were to go to a website, for example, TrueAchievements.com, they will display a list of all of the latest achievement lists revealed. People are then able to see if the game is going to be easy to complete or if it is going to take some time to complete and grind some of the achievements, for example, lego games. Lego games are the main games that are known for taking their time to grind achievements, because of the grinding you have to do to in order to collect studs in the games.

A normal achievement hunter will take their time grinding achievements and not rush for them. However, if you are like me and are trying to go as fast as you can, then you are looking for games which you can speed through quickly and get the fastest amount of points possible without any trouble and quickly move onto the next. I would say this is everyone's goal but it does not always go the way you plan just because you might see an awesome game that just came out and then you play that game but then realise you have to grind through the rest of the achievements for the rest of the game so that you can get 100% for the entire game. But even if it does take some time to perfect a game you can think to yourself and say "I did that, that was all me!" and you can feel proud and accomplished at the end of it. Plus you can move on to the next game and figure out how you are going finish this game.

If you are like me and a complete hardcore achievement hunter addict then you will do anything for an achievement just to increase your gamerscore when playing any Xbox live game no matter how much you have to grind a game and how long it will take to complete. sometimes it is a good thing so that you can see your accomplishments either in a couple of weeks or even at the end of the year.

You really do not have to do anything to become an achievement hunter, it would usually come naturally if you liked to see them pop up on your screen or you might like to see your total gamerscore number going up. It would usually come naturally if you really want to pop achievements in games. If I had one tip to give you about being an achievement hunter I would say to start small and then gradually get bigger on your game collections. Start with the easy games such as King Kong or Avatar the burning earth and then work up to the bigger games such as call of duty or gears of war just so that you get a feel for what it will be like when you start completing games.

Here is a list of starter games I would recommend you start off with if you are only just starting collecting achievements and building up your gamerscore.
