"You know nothing, Jon Snow" - Ygritte.

Loosely based on 'The War Of The Roses," Game Of Thrones has taken its viewers into a chaotic, yet enchanting world filled with dragons, cunning characters, and famous death scenes from the beheading of Ned Stark to the Red Wedding.

However, beneath the bloodshed, the prophecies, and the imbedding doom of the white walkers, it has also become one of the most relatable, honest, and lesson filled series on television, today.

Don’t believe me? Let’s take a look beyond the wall…

“Never forget what you are. The rest of the world will not. Wear it like armor, and it can never be used to hurt you.” - Tyrion Lannister

Lesson: We are who we are and there is nothing wrong with that. The world will always have its perceptions and perceived notions of whom they think we should be, but rise above it. Be proud of your age, your race, your gender, your religion, your everything. So whether you are a dwarf or a bastard, own it! You are you!

And you are always good enough!

"Different roads sometimes lead to the same castle." - Jon Snow

Lesson: It always sucks to watch our friends and family seemingly have everything figured out; going down the path that they chose while we're here stuck in some weird rut on a bumpy side road that we did not choose.

Here's the thing; sometimes we don't really know which path is the best for us. It may be hard, cracked, and tiresome, but that bumpy road could lead to an even bigger and better castle.

So keep on chucking. Just watch out for the Faceless Men...

“I will not punish a son for his father’s sin.” - Jon Snow

Lesson: No one is responsible for the actions of others in the past; even the ones that were related to. We are own people so do not take on this burden and do not put this burden on others.

However, never forget the past. Acknowledge it, learn from it and do better.

That being said...

“A bruise is a lesson... and each lesson makes us better.” - Arya Stark

Lesson: Despite if we had the right intentions, we have all made mistakes and they hurt. Some more than others, especially when they effect other people. Apologize, forgive yourself, and move forward. You will be a better person for it.

“I may be small. I may be a girl, but I won’t be knitting by the fire while I have men fight for me.” - Lyanna Mormont

Lesson: Lady Mormont is a badass!!!

But also it's 2018! What are you doing!? You don't need someone to fight your battles for you. Pick up that dragon glass and stab that white walker!

"We Don't Get To Choose Whom We Love." - Jaime Lannister

Lesson: I'm not saying mimic the relations of Jaime and Cersei Lannister...GROSS! However, we do not choose who we fall for or who we love. Sometimes those relationships are bad and sometimes they are good.

Let yourself feel, and do not punish yourself for it.

Sometimes love is learning how to let go and move on. And sometimes, it is amour that we wear to protect those that we hold most dear. Love is powerful.

Embrace it!

"When enough people make false promises, words stop meaning anything." - Jon Snow

Lesson: In the wake of political unrest and racial tension, no truer words were ever spoken. We have seen the false promises and lies of countless politicians for generations and now look where are.

Learn from the past and from the mistakes before us. Because like the Lannisters... I mean our fair government... how can we trust you, if you never keep your word?

Oh, Game Of Thrones! Who knew that a mere fantasy series could both give us and show us such words of wisdom, the power of self acceptance, and of course DRAGONS!!!!

Hey guys, thanks for reading!
