My Fave 90s Toys

We have all had favorite toys as a child, but my favorite are the toys from the 90s. Here are some of my favorite 90s toys that I loved as a little girl.

Tamagotchi was my first pet ever. It was fun to play with it and take care of it. You had to feed it food a lot, and you had to play with it so it wouldn't be lonely. But the thing that always made me sad was that while I would be at school, my Tamagotchi would always die. That is why I don't have a pet at all today, people. But it kind of taught me that taking care of a pet is hard work.

Furby was an adorable and fuzzy toy, but it also gave us all nightmares at night. At first, Furby was fun to play with. The Furby that I had was a mother with, like, five or six baby furbies. The babies would talk to their mommy saying, "Mommy, I'm hungry!" Then when night time came, that was when they would scare the living daylights out of you. Don't let that thing be on low battery at night. Their voices were scary and so deep, I would just throw them away.

Beanie Babies were, and still kinda are, one of my favorite toys from the 90s. I have collected so many over the years. But when I kept moving back and forth from Michigan to Texas, I lost them all. I loved the different colored bears, and I also loved the different animals like elephants, lizards, cats, and dogs. But my most favorite Beanie Babies animal was a panda bear. I have always loved their soft black and white fur. I hope to hold a baby panda one day.

Polly Pocket was my girly time to dress and play with Polly. I had the Polly Pocket collection which came with little houses and stuff for the houses. I would put them in front of my grandma's window pane and play with them. The thing that my mom hated about it was all the little pieces she would step on every day. I really miss playing with Polly Pocket.

Game Boy was one of the biggest things you had to have in the 90s. I had a yellow Game Boy. I would mostly play Pokémon, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Super Mario. Catching and fighting Pokémon and collecting them were my favorite things to do on their games. Super Mario was a very addicting game in the 90s, and especially Sonic the Hedgehog; my cousins and I would play all the time. We would stay up late at night and play.

Skip It was an amazing fun toy that you put around your ankle and skipped away. It was a very good excuse to exercise. When I first got it, it was so hard at first. But once I finally got the hang of it, I was going up and down the street with my Skip It toy. You had to keep a rhythm with Skip It, or you would get hit in the ankle mostly, or your foot. I had so many bruises on my ankle from playing with my Skip It toy. I hope to teach my kids to Skip It.

And last but not least, Super Nintendo and Second Genesis. Everybody I knew had either one or both of them. They had some amazing games that you can play on it. I mostly played Sonic the Hedgehog and Mortal Kombat. Sonic the Hedgehog and Tails the Fox were the bomb. But Mortal Kombat was my most favorite. I loved playing fighting games when I was younger. I would fight my cousins all the time. You know you are a 90s kid when you have to take the game out and blow on the game and the game system. I will definitely tell my kids about this.

Here concludes my favorite 90s toys in the whole wide world. I will never forget about all the awesome toys and games we would play from my childhood to now. When my children get older and ask my husband and I about what and how we grew up in the 90s, we will show and tell them about everything. 90s kid forever!
