As the good and bad "come together" in #ZackSnyder's upcoming #JusticeLeague movie, the fight against Darkseid's army of Parademons will need all the help it can get. The trailer is a glorious showcase of action as we clearly see various armies taking on the flying-foes, however, did Snyder sneak in a surprise cameo from one of #DC's other heroes?

Flying Into Action

In the above shot, we see an Amazonian leaping into action, while just to the left of their head you can see a little flash of white wings. So what, big deal, and who even are the Thanagarians? Well, when you consider that some of the most famous members of the species include Hawkman and Hawkgirl, this could mean big news for the ranks of the Justice League. While the picture may look like nothing, this cleverly created gif clearly shows some form of winged-warrior:

Looks a lot like a Thanagarian to me, well that, or Ben Foster could be cameoing as Angel from Marvel's X-Men: The Last Stand. It could just be more of the Parademons, but on closer inspection, it looks these flying enigmas are being fired upon by Darkseid's allies, making them on the team of the League.

While not the likeliest of candidates for an appearance, the arrival of Hawkman and Hawkgirl is eventually expected to play a part in the #DCEU. Hawkman and Hawkgirl have only recently stepped into the Arrowverse, notably in DC's Legends of Tomorrow, but are they suiting up for Justice League this early on? We already know that Thanagarians exist in the DCEU, and although they don't appear in Snyder's Man of Steel, they are in the prequel #comicbook to the 2013 film. Following Kara Zor-El and the origins of the Arctic scout ship, the comic confirmed the existence of home planet Thanagar as well as its residents.

While the battle with the Parademons becomes a race war, we know it already includes Amazons and Atlanteans, meaning it would make perfect sense for the Thanagarians to join in the rumble too.

Clearly Justice League will set up the plans for a larger team and a roster that could include Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, and Hawkman. While Hawkman is one of #DC's lesser-known heroes and the studio clearly expanding their film slate, never say never to a Hawkman solo-film. If not, a winged wonder would still make a great addition to any of DC's upcoming #superhero films.
