Bad news for the world's youngest Batfan, Bat-Daddy Ben Affleck says his son is too young to watch his next big screen outing.
Ben Affleck is adopting the famous Bruce Wayne cowl for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but fears that the film is a little too grown up for his 4-year-old son, Samuel. Affleck told The Hollywood Reporter:
Four years old is a little young to see this whole movie...I don't want him to have nightmares.
It is no secret that Samuel is as much of a Batman superfan as his dad, with Affleck partly taking the role for his children. He famously dressed as the Dark Knight for Samuel's Batman themed birthday party, even tipping a FedEx driver to stage a fight when Samuel thought he was The Joker. Luckily the 43-year-old parent of three has an ingenious way to let his son view the film:
I'll have to con one of the editors into giving me a truncated version of the movie without some of the scarier stuff.
With promises of an extended R-rated cut on DVD and preview images of villain, Doomsday, BvS definitely isn't one for the tots.
Good news though for Affleck's daughter, Violet. The 10-year-old is allowed allowed to enjoy her father's performance in all its PG-13 rated glory.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opens worldwide later this month.
