All Things 'Stranger Things'

Taking the world by storm, Stranger Things is a Netflix drama about the mystery of a missing child, Will Byers. Season one was first released on the July 15, 2016 followed by Season two on October 27, 2017 and ever since, it has had everyone sat on the edge of their seat for more. Luckily, Season three should premiere some time near the end of 2018 but I tell you this, it's worth the wait.

It is set in Indiana, Hawkins 1983 when a mother's 12-year-old son, Will, goes missing. To find him, she launches a horrifying investigation into his disappearance with the local police. As they search for answers, they unravel a series of extraordinary mysteries involving secret government experiments, unnerving supernatural forces, and a very strange little girl. It's actually a TV series I'd recommend for all ages above 12 even though the show's main cast are children. It's got something for everyone to enjoy from throwbacks to the 80s to a bit of sci-fi. The show was created by Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer, more famously known as the Duffer Brothers, who directed the show.

Once you've watched Stranger Things, their merchandise will be hard to resist, so here are some of my favourites.

But if these are too expensive or aren't exactly what you are looking for, you can DIY your own Stranger Things accessories. To make a Stranger Things phone case, all you will need is a clear phone case and a printer. There are other options you can try if you don't have a printer. You can buy a transparent case quite cheaply.

Print or draw/write on a piece of paper the design/text you want. You can write out an iconic quote from the TV series. Here are some examples:

• "Friends Don't Lie."
• "Should I Stay Or Should I Go?"
• "Sometimes your total obliviousness just blows my mind."
• "Mornings are for coffee and contemplation."
• "Why are you keeping this curiosity door locked?"

Make sure you cut it to size to fit into your phone case. The great thing about this is that you can just easily change it to whatever background you want instead of having to get a different phone case once you get bored of it.

... All you need are thin-wired LED or fairy lights, a canvas, a thin black pen, and a thick black pen.

On the canvas write out the alphabet above with your black pen. It doesn't have to be neat—it gives it a better effect if it's messy. Don't forget to add the little details with a thin black pen like the paint dripping off the letters. Draw a thin line above the rows of letters—this will be the wire. Now carefully use a needle to poke holes above each letter but on the thin line (wire). Make the hole big enough for the small lights to poke through. Have a fairy light poke through above each letter. You can hang it up in your room now.

Stranger Things is available to watch on Netflix. The main cast—the children—are played by Millie Bobby Brown, Sadie Sink, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, and Finn Wolfhard. Stranger Things has been nominated and has received multiple awards including the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Performance in a Youth/Children's Series or Special—Caleb McLaughlin—and Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
