All X-Men Must Die: Maisie Williams To Join 'New Mutants'?

Valar Morghulis - all men must die, or in this case...all mutants. Director Josh Boone has reportedly found the girl to play Wolfsbane in his X-Men spin-off The New Mutants- and it's none other than Game of Thrones' Arya Stark.

Actress Maisie Williams won't be the first Game of Thrones alumni to enter the world of Marvel's super-powered troupe; this comes after Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark on the HBO epic, was cast as Jean Grey in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse.

Wolfsbane is the alter ego of Rahne Sinclair, a shape-shifting Scottish werewolf. She's certainly a character with a lot of fire in her belly, so this shouldn't be too much of a stretch for the feisty Stark girl.

Williams joins The Witch's Anya Taylor-Joy (playing Magik), whilst Alexandra Shipp reprises her role of Storm from Apocalypse and James McAvoy will be returning to the role of Professor Xavier. McAvoy is said to be playing a big part in the young mutant saga. If Boone does decide to stick to a 'traditional' team lineup, we should expect the likes of Cannonball, Sunspot, and Mirage to play roles.

There's no word on who else will be joining the cast, but if McAvoy and Shipp are on board, we should probably expect a few more familiar faces. However, don't look for Hugh Jackman to be returning as Wolverine; Jackman's said he is hanging up his adamantium claws after the release of the third Wolverine film.

There is no official date for The New Mutants yet, but don't expect it to be going head to head with The Justice League, so push for a 2018 release. Great news for fans of the comic series, but bad news for poor Remy LeBeau; will we ever get to see a Gambit film?
