It's that time of year again where we've got some great new anime starting to air, as well as continuing seasons of anime that are continuing to amaze fans around the globe. Here are some of my top picks that are coming out this Spring.

'Boku no Hero Academia' 3rd Season

One of the most popular new shounen anime to come out in awhile, Boku no Hero Academia is back for its 3rd season! After watching the first season and being sucked into this world where the common person is born with super powers and following the story of Midoriya, who happens to be part of the unlucky few that are born without these supernatural powers. It has all the elements for any great superhero anime and it's very easy to get sucked into the Midoriya's world. If you haven't already started watching this anime, you should definitely start ASAP.

'Steins;Gate 0'

If you are a fan of altering timelines and have already watched the first adaptation, Steins;Gate, you will enjoy watching as we get an alternate ending to this anime series where what we saw previously happen in the ending of the last episode of Steins;Gate, never took place. It follows Okabe, the mad scientist, as he falls into a depression trying to forget the past and when all seems to finally feel normal again he is suddenly pulled back into that past life by meeting an acquaintance of an old friend. It gives a new twist on what could have happened and is definitely worth watching.

'Mahou Shoujo Ore'

Browsing online to find a new anime to add to my list to watch this season, I happened to stumble across this piece of work that takes the concept of magical girls and twists it on its head. It centers on a young high school girl who dreams of becoming an idol and is desperately in love with her best friend's brother, who is a famous idol himself. It isn't until one day that a strange member of the yakuza who seems to be friends with her mother, tell her that her mother used to be a magical girl and that she must take her mother's place in defending the world from demons. Hesitant to take her mother's place, she finally decides to become a magical girl to save the boy she loves from demons, only to find out that there is a strange twist on this magical girl transformation.

I won't spoil what happens when she transforms but after watching what happened in the first episode, I was hooked. If you are fan of parody anime I would say to give this one a watch.

'High School DxD Hero'

Finally! After months of waiting for the next season of High School DxD to air, it is finally here! Issei is still up to his normal perverted antics all while struggling to control the Red Dragon that is inside him. Rias and Issei seem to have no recollection of the feelings they confessed to each other in the finale of the last season and Rias has taken Rossweisse as the last Rook on her side. Not much has been given away for this season yet, but from what has been seen looks as though Issei will be battling more with Ddraig and his dreams of being a harem king don't seem that far away.

I'd recommend watching the previous seasons before starting with this new one. This anime has to be one of the best ones I've watched in awhile but do be warned that it is a bit over the top with it's ecchi themes. If you can't handle a bit of nudity then this anime may not be the best pick for you.

'Hinamatsuri'

I picked this anime out as it caught my eye as I was scrolling through which anime to watch this season. It centers around a member of the yakuza, Nitta, who happens to find a strange object one day. Within that object he finds a young girl who happens to have an insane amount of supernatural powers. Somehow, Nitta ends up having to take care of this young girl and she ends up helping him take care of some yakuza business with her strange abilities.

This anime is a slice of life and comedy that I would definitely recommend that you watch out for this Spring.

'Uma Musume: Pretty Derby'

I honestly just recently spotted this anime and thought the concept was so strange that I put it on my list as one to watch as I am curious to see how they play this out. It centers on a world where great race horses of the past are allowed the chance to be reborn as 'horse girls'. They look like girls with some key features of their past horse selves while also keeping the same talents as they had in their past life.

Special Week, a high school girl, hopes to fulfill her mother's promise to become the best horse girl in Japan, so she transfers to a new school in hopes to reach that dream.

Overall I think there are many more anime this spring that are coming out that will be great to watch, but these are my top picks for the season that I will for sure be checking out.
