Anna Kendrick

Look out, Eminem! Anna Kendrick was in the house showing off her rapping skills on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday, September 6th, 2018. She took a few moments not only impressing Ellen but also the entire audience as she did a little ditty called "Ante Up."

Who's Anna Kendrick?

Anna Cooke Kendrick was born in August (yay! same birthday month as me!) in 1985. She is an American actress and singer and started her career as a child actor at the theater on Broadway. She made her first film debut in the movie Camp, which was released in 2003. What really brought her notability to the screen was her supporting role as Jessica Stanley in The Twilight Saga which ran from 2008-2012. She has also been featured in various dramas since them also commonly known for her role as Beca Mitchell in the Pitch Perfect film series that lasted until 2017.

The A Simple Favor actress had one request for Ellen as shown in the video and that was to temporarily take over Ellen's Twitter account. Some suggested tweets included, "A Simple Favor is so great, it'll change your life," "A Simple Favor is so amazing, it'll get you laid," and "Anna Kendrick is my favorite person." Ellen afterward had decided that the last tweet should be changed to "Anna Kendrick is my favorite actress of all time." That suited Anna just fine.

Now it was Ellen’s turn to ask for a return favor from Anna and that was to sing the rap song that she had sung while she was driving a car in the movie. Anna responded in kind, "It's so embarrassing. I was really feeling the rap. I say that you have to have respect for the streets, which is how I try to live my life." Anna had no problem belting it out once she was handed over a microphone.

She’s not a stranger when it comes to singing rap. As part of a riff-off battle, she rapped to "No Diggity" during a Pitch Perfect inaugural. She definitely has a lot of talent when it comes to the musical world. At the very young age of thirteen, she had earned a Tony Award nomination for "Best Featured Actress in a Musical" in 1998 for her performance in High Society.

In her newest film, she plays Stephanie who is basically a sheltered mom who does a lot of blogging who befriends Emily who is played by Blake Lively who is very confident along with being a powerful, influential workaholic. One day, Emily suddenly disappears, which puts Stephanie on a journey to find answers.

The movie A Simple Favor will be arriving in theaters on September 14th.

Ellen says, "I keep good on my promises."

The Ellen Degeneres Show

She really did. When Anna asked if she could put her on Twitter with the three comments she had made during the show, Ellen actually put them on her Twitter the moment Anna kept her promise. She keeps her promises on everything and that’s what I like so much about her and her show.

Do you watch Ellen? Have you ever been on the show as part of the audience or a guest star? I've always wanted a chance to be a part of her show. Not just being on her show but meeting Taylor Swift through that show. It's probably the most exciting, fun, and giving show I have ever witnessed on television. I love to see the celebrities on the show including Taylor Swift, Cher, Anna Kendrick, and even Ellen, but I also really enjoy seeing Ellen and the staff give to some very important people out there that were either less fortunate or have a dream or vision and got to see it become into fruition right in front of their very eyes. I also enjoy her seasonal programs including her Halloween special where she scares special celebrity guests or her Christmas shows when she features the Christmas giveaways.
