Candace King and Kayla Ewell (both of The Vampire Diaries fame) have a podcast called Directionally Challenged, and let me tell you, we're all directionally challenged, so get in your car, or get out your headphones, and catch up because they're here to help their fellow women (and maybe a few men) get through the difficult parts of life.

If you're unsure who we're talking about right now, the two have been friends for years since being cast together on The CW's The Vampire Diaries in 2009. Now as actresses, wives, mothers, and women, they're simply trying their best to understand the world.

What to Expect...

So far, episodes have ranged on everything from relationship abuse to their 10-year challenge to feminism. From fun, to serious, to a little of both, Candace and Kayla (and their guests) are ready to understand life, and to share it with their listeners.

Each episode is co-hosted by a guest (or guests), who are experts in the field of discussion. Caitlin Crosby (The Giving Keys creator) talks about giving back to the community, while Cammy Miller and Cologne Trude (Show Me Your Mumu creators) talk about being a boss lady, while also being a great mother.

The podcast is available on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, and other players.

Get ready for amazing guests.

The guests range from fellow actors, to social media sensations, to motivational speakers, and everything in between. With each week focusing on a subject within their guest's world, there is an episode for anyone's journey, and questions in life.

Starting in August of 2018, with bi-weekly (and sometimes weekly) episodes, the girls have been gathering their friends together to discuss the hardships of female growth in multiple fields. From "Tech Addiction" with Manoush Zomorodi, to "Fertility Journey" with Tanya Tate, Candace and Kayla are ready to find out how to make it through this crazy world as women.

Truthfully, I've only listened through episode 16 (and am listening to episode 17 as I write this), but that's been in the past week, so it's obviously addictive. As a young female (okay, so I'm only in my 20s), I am finding that the journeys of these guests strike a chord with me. Maybe I've yet to go through fertility issues, but I know people who have. I've never been in an abusive relationship, but I've helped friends get out of them. And then there are the episodes that speak to me personally. I know what it's like to be the "sweet little fat" girl (like Michael Vlamis talks about on episode 16), or to be "Starting Your Career" like Jenny Boyd in episode 5.

So no matter what you're going through, there's an episode for you. Whether you choose to listen to just the episodes that speak to you, or to listen to all of them, you're going to be drawn into the craziness of Directionally Challenged.

If you're an Apple fanatic like me, listening to Directionally Challenged is extremely easy with the podcast app, or by downloading the episodes to your computer, and listening along... maybe when you should be doing work... not that that's what I do...

Candace and Kayla use their Instagram account to share photos and videos that they discuss during their interviews, as well as behind-the-scenes glimpses into their podcast-hosting skills. So follow along on their adventures.

Follow along on Twitter to find out about future guests, join Q&As, and see what Candice and Kayla are up to during their life journeys.

So for those The Vampire Diaries fans (like me), try starting with episode 14. Michael Trevino guests as the three take a 10 year challenge, because they've known each other for a decade of The Vampire Diaries filming.
