Ariana Grande Paid A Visit To Hospitalized Manchester Fans Before Her Amazing One Love Benefit Concert

Ariana Grande returned to Manchester to offer comfort and support to victims of the May 22 bombing that targeted her fans. Ahead of yesterday's One Love concert, Grande visited Royal Hospital Children's Hospital, where she met with fans recovering from the attack.

Fourteen-year-old Evie Mills, who suffered a fractured skull and wounds to her legs, chest, hip and wrist in the bombing, couldn't contain her excitement after the visit, taking to Twitter to express her love.

Ariana gave out sunflowers, teddy bears and hugs, and posed for selfies with her fans, sharing her love on her Instagram page.

Ariana's visit brought a wellspring of emotions from both her fans and the families who've been affected by the tragedy. Evie's mother, Karen, told the Independent that the journey ahead would be difficult, but that Ariana's visit had made a difference:

"We've had such down days in the hospital, and I think these girls have got a lot to go through still once the wounds have healed. So just seeing them smile and having 20 minutes, half an hour of pure happiness is unbelievable."

In an open statement that Ariana posted to her social media accounts, she expressed the need for us to live more kindly — and, she is paving the way:

"Our response to this violence must be to come closer together, to help each other, to love more, to sing louder, and to live more kindly and generously than we did before."

Ariana's visit has touched the hearts of her injured fans in a way that can't be measured, and though they may always have the scars from the appalling and senseless attack, they'll also have the memories of one young woman's attempt to temper the pain with love.

Ariana performed Sunday night along with Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Coldplay, Take That and Miley Cyrus. The concert raised funds for victims and their families. Watch highlights below:
