The Punished
My daughter’s infant giggle echoed down the hall. The early sun splintered through the blinds making a light show of the dust. We needed to clean. I sat up as Grace ran in, jumping on the bed. Saturday mornings were one of the few things I looked forward to now. Work had completely defeated me. Aside from being good at what I did, there was little I enjoyed during the week. Today though. Today, we had plans.

'Tomb Raider' (2018): Why You Should Care!
Lara Croft: Tomb Raider has and always will have a soft spot in my heart. Beginning at a young age, the Tomb Raider games were some of my all time favorite adventures. This was before the internet and googling puzzles children, this was a time when you would have to stop, take a break, go out to eat, vacuum, do the dishes, take a nap and right as you woke up your brain would go, "Oh! That's how I do it!" Ah better times, simpler times. But as time went on, so did Lara. With new adventures, new outfits and reboots. The latest 2013 reboot didn't upset though, and fans all over embraced the new story and new adventure of playing as Lara again.

'EverQuest' Nostalgia: 2 Decades Later
Recently I downloaded EverQuest from Steam as an escape from my usual gaming tendencies and to bathe in the warm, welcoming waters of nostalgia that came with it. Nearly two decades later and EverQuest is still going strong with new expansions and, of course, EverQuest II! What is it about this game from 1999 though, that reminds us of early Saturday mornings with a blanket draped around us like a cape, keeping us warm and toasty? I want to take a look back with you, and hopefully you'll regain some of the same warm memories, as well.
