#Teacher Life
I had no idea what I wanted to do when I went to college. I loved music and art more than anything. However, unless you're someone like Beyonce or Justin Timberlake, don't expect to find work. So, what else did I love? It took me a long time to figure that out. Then it hit me: kids. I love working and taking care of kids. Okay, now we're getting somewhere. So, I decided to become a teacher. I figured, "I'll make a real difference in the lives of children! I'll be set for life!!" Well, six years of college later, reality hit me hard in the face.

Think Before You Post Online
YouTube was created in February of 2005. Back then, it was the place where people could upload short, little videos of people being silly, or singing, and everything in between. Since it's creation, YouTube has evolved into something much bigger.

So You Want to Sing Karaoke?
What's the first thing you think about when you hear the term "karaoke bar?" People singing poorly for laughs? Drunk people trying to sing coherently? Endless renditions of "Don't Stop Believing" or "Eye of the Tiger"? I think about those things, too. However, as someone who has done karaoke for many years, I have to say that yes, those things are true. But there is much more to it than that. It's a fun place for friends to get together, sing some songs and have a few laughs. I've made some of my closest friends from the karaoke bar I frequently go to. I am not talented in the least, but others seem to think I am.

What Has Happened to the Film Industry?
My grandma took me to my first movie when I was about five years old. I think it was Beauty and the Beast. I was ecstatic. I loved Disney and being able to see a big movie like that was an amazing experience. Since that day, I have developed an interesting relationship with movies. It’s weird to say, but I can perfectly quote most movies I’ve seen. Not just the lines, but I can do it down to what accents are being used. I don’t understand it, but it makes people laugh. I’ve watched how types of movies have changed over the years. I have to say, I’m not exactly thrilled at the idea of remaking EVERY SINGLE MOVIE THAT HAS EXISTED. To be honest, most modern movies don’t interest me at all. There’s no substance to them and there’s no creativity.

Abuse Is Not Love
Getting my first boyfriend at age 22 wasn’t exactly how I wanted my love life to start. Guys weren’t really into me in high school or college. I was always a “great friend.” Hearing that made me feel pretty pathetic. All I wanted was to have a guy in my life that loved me for me: not my looks, what my job was, where I lived... blah, blah, blah.

A Fifth Grade Nightmare
This was maybe two weeks ago. I got a new fifth grader, a sweet boy. Sadly, some of my troublemaker boys had gotten to him and were not exactly the best of influences on him. He started acting out a bit in class. Nothing too bad, but he was definitely acting different.
