The "Perfect Harmony" of Music, Feelings, and Cute Ghosts
I'm known for getting extremely attached and emotionally invested in things very quickly and quite often. Whether it's a band, a movie, a book, or a television series, there are some things that infiltrate my heart and remain there while I obsess over them. Recently, the Netflix original series, Julie and the Phantoms has become that obsession. Not only does it follow a beautiful story, have great music and a strong, young female lead (which we all need more of in our lives), but it also includes three musically inclined male ghosts who have made their way into the hearts of girls everywhere - myself included. What was supposed to be a show created for children, quickly became something that made its way onto the screens of women aged 17-30. Three months after it's premiere, it continues to be discussed among those women on all social media platforms and within group chats all over the world. They can't get enough of Julie and her phantoms, and re-watch the series' one season over and over again while they wait for Netflix to announce a second season.

"Manage Me, I'm a Mess"
This is the story about the song that started it all. The song that introduced me to my love of music. The song that convinced me that I am in fact in love with music. The song that has led me to attend almost 70 concerts in my 25 years on this Earth. The song that helped me realize that music would never let me down, that it would be there whenever I needed it, no matter how I was feeling. The song that would help me understand how important music is to me and how much I really need it in my life. This is the story about THE song that started it all.

Back to the Beginning: In Real Life Returns to The Roxy
In 2017, several months after they first became a band, In Real Life played their first full show at The Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles, California. They played a set comprised of their first two singles, a couple of Christmas songs, and a few covers. Two years later, on October 5, 2019, they played The Roxy again. This time though, it was to a sold-out crowd on their second headlining North American tour. This set was comprised of songs off their debut album, She Do, a solo song written by each of the members, and just one cover. They brought it back to where it all started, but a lot has changed for the group since that first Roxy show.

Fallin' All in Shawn Mendes
There is something extremely special about seeing an artist live in concert for the first time—especially when you've been wanting to see them for a while. This was the case for me on Monday, July 8th, 2019. I saw Shawn Mendes in concert that night, and it was incredible. He was incredible.

- Top Story - October 2018
Boy Bands, Pop Punk Bands, and Solo Artists Oh My!Top Story - October 2018
My music taste has quite the range and this list reflects bands and artists within that range that in my opinion everyone should listen to. After you've listened to them through a streaming service, I would also suggest seeing them live because we all know live music is even better. The bands and artists are listed based on the categories in this post's title and do not reflect any ranking of any sort—each musician listed here deserves an equal amount of love.

'To All the Boys I've Loved Before'
We all love a good high school love story. With movies like Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles, 10 Things I Hate About You, A Cinderella Story, and Love, Simon, the world has had and loved its fair share of high school love stories. We always hope that the lead lands the boy—even with Love, Simon all we wanted was for Simon to find his special boy, too. Recently, Netflix provided the world with the newest [and extremely popular] high school romance, To All the Boys I've Loved Before. Leading lady Lara Jean Covey [played by Lana Condor] only wants love, too, and she finds it in a very uncommon and unexpected way.

Niall Horan Round 2
Niall Horan's "On My Own" plays as I sit here typing this, still thinking about the live performance I saw by him last night. On August 17, 2018 Niall Horan played to a crowd of 9,000 screaming fans in Chula Vista, California. I don't think I have ever witnessed someone have as much fun on stage as that lovely lad from Ireland. Not only did he sing, but he joked, laughed, danced, played the guitar and piano, and smiled from ear to ear the entire time. Everyone in the amphitheater—including the people on the stage—were having the time of their lives that night. It was refreshing to see and hear all the love that was passed onto him as he performed. Niall Horan has still got it and I don't think it will be going away any time soon.

A Night with Harry Styles
July 13, 2018 - the night I attended Harry Styles' first Los Angeles show at The Forum. Not only was it one of the best concerts I have ever been to, but it was also a night that made me think that people could be genuinely good and that there may be some hope for a nicer and better world. If you have no idea who Harry Styles is or what the man stands for here is a bit of a rundown. Harry Styles was a member of one of the most popular boybands, One Direction. The group decided to go on an indefinite hiatus in 2015 and each member has released solo music and done other solo work since. Harry has used his music and his platform to express the type of music that he believes in unique to him as well as become an advocate for all things equal. His whole platform runs on the slogan: "Treat People with Kindness," which makes an appearance on his merch, his social media platforms, during his shows, and even around the venues he performs at. At The Forum, they even placed the slogan on all the walkways for all the attendees to see.
