'Avengers Endgame'

Can the end hint a new beginning?

Avengers: Infinity War was undoubtedly one of 2018's best movies and the MCU as a whole had a great year. It definitely didn't end there, with more movies coming from the universe, and one of them makes the cut as one of the most awaited films for 2019.

Pretty obvious, right?

We were all left with dropped jaws at the end of Infinity War, it wouldn't even be an exaggeration to say that some of us were heartbroken.

We know our heroes as over-comers. You can never go wrong with Tony Stark in the team, did we mention Thor?

Either way, we hold on to the little hope that out of 14,000,605 possible futures, Doctor Strange only saw one which was favorable, but that doesn't mean it'll be good for all. That one possible future is a terribly difficult one to digest, but then Strange must have seen that it was the only way to serve the greater good (i.e. the bigger long-term plan).

After seeing the Avengers: Endgame trailer, we're all curious to find out what's next, and we believe it's safe to say that the new Spiderman: Far From Home trailer added to the curiosity. If you're a Marvel fanatic, you already know that these films link, from Iron Man all the way to Avengers.

Question is: What will our heroes' fate be?

The way Endgame and Far From Home are set to be released, our wild guess is that Spiderman: Far From Homemight be set moments after Endgame, so we can take a wild guess and say that Peter Parker is safe!

Well, maybe.

Avengers: Endgame certainly has an ominous ring to it, but could it have more positive connotations?

Maybe we aren't talking Thanos' terrifying scheme (which was depicted in detail in Avengers: Infinity War, after all), or the plots of some other, unexpected threat, but the end game of Doctor Strange. Infinity War teased that he has something up his sleeve to undo the shocking events of that movie in its sequel—and even said, "We're in the end game now," after giving up the Time Stone to Thanos.

What might happen based on the comics?

Ahh, here’s where it gets fun. Avengers: Infinity War borrows the core of its story from Marvel Comics’ 1991 storyline Infinity Gauntlet, in which Thanos uses the eponymous glove to kill half of the universe. In that story, Thanos is ultimately defeated by his own ego and a critical, momentary mistake—and the scheming of, improbably, Nebula. (You’ll notice that Nebula, despite being a relatively minor character in the grand scheme of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, survived Thanos’ purge.)

And that mysterious Soul Stone, which factors heavily into its own Infinity War subplot, might be the key to getting all of the dusted characters back. In the Marvel comics, the Soul Stone actually contains its own pocket dimension, known as Soul World. We might have gotten a glimpse of it at the end of Infinity War, when Thanos has a vision of speaking with Young Gamora on a seemingly endless, orange plane. Or the Time Stone could roll it all back...

Well, a few more days to go and all these questions will be answered when the movie hits theaters.

Avengers: Endgame will be released on April 26th, 2019.
