There are few better ways to access a galaxy far far away than to engage yourself in the best Star Wars video games. Pick a side and play as the Empire or the Rebels in Empire at War. Or play as your favorite character, and navigate planets and missions. If you are a fan of LEGO, get your hands on Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, the game that follows the events of A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi. These games, among many others, will catapult you into an alternate universe full of Jedi, Stormtroopers, Han Solo, and Princess Leia. Use lightsabers, drive AT-ATs, and gain wisdom from Yoda, all from the comfort of your home. The possibilities for an out-of-this-world gaming experience are infinite with any of the best Star Wars video games.

In this LEGO-Star Wars mash up, Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy, is a multi-platform action-adventure video game. The game follows the events of the Star Wars films A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi. Players can customize their own characters or choose from over 50 LEGO versions of characters from the film series. Designed to resemble LEGO pieces, the game's central location is the Mos Eisley Cantina. Through the cantina the player can access various levels, representing key locations and scenes. There are also bonus levels which include activities like defeating enemies, building objects out of LEGO bricks and driving vehicles. If you love LEGO and Star Wars, then this is the game for you.

Become the leader of a Rebel flying force as you battle the Empire in Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader. In this expansion of the original game, Luke Skywalker and Wedge Antilles have joined the Rebel Alliance to help defeat the Empire in order to restore freedom to the galaxy. This game is a fast-paced, flight action theme and each of the games levels introduces mission objectives. Aircrafts are composed of TIE fighters, Imperial shuttles, and Star Destroyers. Ground defenses are more varied. For a fast moving, high flying adventure, check out Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader.

As a first or third person shooter in the Star Wars Expanded Universe, the player has the ability to collect a variety of firearms, as well as lightsabers and Force powers. The plot follows protagonist Kyle Katarn as he battles the Dark Jedi, Desann. Over the course of the game, Kyle is joined by other characters. Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast highlights lightsaber combat. The four main antagonists are Dsann, Tavion, Galak Fyyar, and Reelo Baruk. If you loved Star Wars: Jedi Knight, then this game is a great second step.

As an origin story for both the united Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Civil War depicted in the Original Trilogy, The Force Unleashed is a third person action game in which the character's weapons are the Force and a lightsaber. The game introduces a new protagonist, "Starkiller," as Darth Vader's secret apprentice. This game completely reimagines the scope and scale of the Force by adding new technologies. To get the most out of the Force and all of it's powers, then this is the game for you.

This game takes place in the Star Wars Legends fictional Universe shortly after the establishment of a tenuous peace between the re-emergent Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic, 300 years after the events of the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic games, and more than 3,500 years before the events in the Star Wars films. Players join as members of the Galactic Republic or the Sith Empire in this massively multiplayer online role-playing game. Within the game, it is emphasized that an individual may possess a morality at any point along the light/dark spectrum. The game offers player advancement by combination of mission completion, exploration, and defeating enemies. This game is great for the Star Wars history buff and the video game fanatic.

This game combines the first two LEGO Star Wars games, The Video Game and its sequel, The Original Trilogy, and expands them with new characters, enhanced visuals and more bonus levels than you can shake a lightsaber at. The point of the game is to make it through the entire story successfully and collect the gold pieces. Most of the levels are the same as in the previous games, with a few new addition and modifications. In this version, you can build and ride vehicles and access bounty hunter and Stormtrooper areas. New Force powers are also included.

This is a real time strategy game that takes place in the Star Wars universe. As a player, you'll be involved in every aspect of conflict between the Rebels and the Empire. You must manage your economy, develop technology, build factories as well as get information on new planets. Whether you play as the Empire or the Rebels, each side has their own advantages and weaknesses. The visual and sound effects will definitely impress you. Since it is real time strategy, players must build up their forces to gain power, and to keep you on edge, if you contemplate a move too long, it can end in disaster. Delivering a presentation that is as epic as the films themselves, Star Wars: Empire at War is ideal for any fan of strategy games, and absolutely necessary for Star Wars aficionados.

The game takes place about five years after the conclusion of its prequel during a time of the Dark Wars and concentrates on a different set of characters. Based on your player choices in the last game, the ending may vary. But regardless of the ending, Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords begins with the Sith having completely destroyed the Jedi Order. The player takes control as a Jedi Knight banished from the Jedi Order. The game offers a wider variety of alien species, weapons and gear. To see how the story goes for the light and dark sides, get this game and play it twice.

Star Wars: Battlefront includes iconic characters and multiple mission options. After choosing to be either a Rebel Alliance soldier or an Imperial Stormtrooper, players will navigate planets from the Star Wars Universe, such as Endor, Hoth or Tatooine. There is also the option of playing as Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Boba Fett or Han Solo. Appearances will also be made by non playable characters such as R2-D2 and C-3PO. Using both air and land vehicles as a means to fight, the battles will be planet-based. While this is the third major release in the Star Wars: Battlefront series, it isn't considered a sequel, but rather a reboot.
