Hello Internet! Did any of you guys notice any of these psychological signs during the movie? If not, I am here to point them out to you in case you missed any. This story takes place in a made-up town in San Francisco called San Fransokyo. It is a blend of Tokyo and San Francisco. Due to the fact it is the first-ever partnership between Disney and Marvel. Even the super hero group name in the movie is loosely based on a Marvel comic hero team name in past Marvel comics. The story is about a young boy named Hero. You may have not realized it but this movie is a lot darker than you think. Hero, our main character, is going through a lot of loss and lacks moral reasoning due to it and also being a young boy going through puberty. He only graduated high school at the age of 13 due to the fact he has high mathematical skills. He seems unsure of himself, not sure what to do with his life. He even gets into illegal trouble and starts to bot fight.

After His older Brother Finds Him at the Bot Fight

After his older brother dies in a fire, he then goes through an identity crisis. He withdraws from family, friends and even goes as far as not eating. He keeps himself in his room day in and day out. At this point, he is going through a critical depression as he starts skipping college. He then awakens his older brothers robot Baymax after getting hurt. He then produces to tell Baymax the type of hurt he is feeling is the kind of hurt someone cannot just fix. Baymax then brings to his attention he is also having mood swings due to puberty and loss of a loved one and shouldn't be alone.

Later within the movie, he finds out his brother's death was in vain. This fills Hero with so much rage and his moral reasoning gets clouded. He then goes as far as to try to kill the man he feels responsible for his brother's death. He then pushes everyone away even further to try to go after this man. After Baymax has a talk with him and asks him would killing him really make you feel better? Then proceeds to show Hero old clips of his brother. He realizes this isn't what is older brother would have wanted and finally lets that anger go.

Within this movie, Hero goes through all the stages of grief and goes as far as then losing Baymax too. In the very end the movie he accepts his brother's death and becomes the best version of himself, helping people hoping to be someone his brother could be proud of. This teenager at only the age of 14 has gone through more loss than most children do. He lost his parents at the age of three. Causing him to be raised, then, by his aunt that later he finds himself feeling like when growing up he is not as good as his older brother. His brother notices this and keeps asking him when will he do something more with his life. His brother sees something within him that he does not even see within himself.

Bottom line this movie is really sad. Sadder then most of the kids watching this movie realized. Really, it is a lot sadder then I even realized after I went back and re-watched it. Did you guys notice any of these psychological signs within the movie or perhaps this brought back a tear or two? Just remember that after losing a loved one that you do care about, it is important to surround yourself with friends and family, eat healthily, retell old memories of that person and let go of any pent-up feelings you may have.

"He wanted to help a lot of people. People keep saying Tadashi is not really gone as long as we remember him."- Hiro Hamada
