Blast from the Past: Cast of 'Once Upon a Time' Before Their Adventures

When watching Once Upon a Time, a lot of the cast is a cornucopia of "Hey I know that face from somewhere". While a lot of that is because some of the cast comes from the show Lost, because the shows share creators, you might have recognized these faces from other projects.

Jennifer Morrison

Jennifer had a few "blink and you miss it" moments in movies such as Mr and Mrs Smith, Miracle on 34th Street, as well as playing Captain Kirk's mother in Star Trek. As her work continued to grow, however, she went on to star in House, M.D. as Doctor Cameron as well as have a recurring role of Zoey on How I Met Your Mother. She actually had to travel back and forth for her final episodes between HIMYM and the ONCE set once she landed the role of Emma Swan.

Ginnifer Goodwin

Before she was a princess, it seemed as though she was the queen of chick flicks, appearing in Mona Lisa Smile, In the Land of Women, Something Borrowed and Win a Date with Tad Hamilton. She played hopeless romantic and believer in true love Gigi in He's Just Not That Into You and starred on the show Big Love. She also did voiceover work on Spongebob and Robot Chicken and continues to do so in movies like Tinkerbell and the Neverland Beast and Sophia the First.

Colin O'Donoghue

Colin had guests roles in tv shows like The Tudors, Proof, and Love is the Drug. As well as movie roles in Storage 24 and The Rite before landing the role of our favorite pirate.

Josh Dallas

Josh had a lot of guest star roles in shows such as CSI, Hawaii Five-0, and Doctor Who. Before landing the role of Prince Charming, he is most well known as Fandral in Thor, though he did not reprise the role in Thor the Dark World.

Lana Parrilla

Lana had a steady stream of recurring/starring roles before landing the role of Regina Mills. Some of the shows included Miami Medical, Swingtown, Spin City, Boomtown and 24 as well as a guest spot on LOST.

Robert Carlyle

Robert has a long list of movies and shows that he has been on. Some of these include Full Monty, I know You Know, and 28 Weeks Later. He starred on the show SGU Stargate Universe and did voiceover work for video games such as Eragon and Castlevania Lord of Shadow.

Emilie De Ravin

Emilie had no shortage of work before becoming our favorite bookworm Belle. She starred in shows such as Roswell and Lost and appeared in both CSI and NCIS. She also appeared in movies such as The Hills have Eyes, The Perfect Game and Remember Me.

Jared Gilmore

Jared had quite a few roles before becoming the truest believer. He starred on Mad Men and had guest roles on Wilfred, Hawthorne and Men of a Certain Age. He also appeared in movies such as The Back-Up Plan and A Nanny for Christmas.

Rebecca Mader

Rebecca Mader has had a lot of guest roles over her time on tv including on Drop Dead Diva, Law and Order: LA, Fringe, White Collar, Blue Bloods, Hawaii Five-0, and Covert Affairs. She starred on Lost, and Work It. She also had bit parts in movies such as The Devil Wears Prada and Hitch. She started as a recurring regular on ONCE but has since joined the main cast.

Sean Maguire

Sean has had a lot of tv roles on shows such as Off Centre, Eve, Sunburn and Eastenders.He had guest roles on CSI: NY and Cold Case as well as appeared in an episode of Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. He started as a recurring character on ONCE but has since joined as a main cast member.
