Brad Pitt Joins Pal Julia Roberts to Make First Public Appearance Since Split from Angelina Jolie

It has been almost two months since the news that power couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are getting a divorce, and Pitt has made his first public appearance since the news.

The A-list star was joined by fellow A-lister and long-time pal Julia Roberts for a private screening of the upcoming film, Moonlight in Los Angeles. The film stars newcomer Trevante Rhodes, singer Janelle Monae, Naomie Harris of #Skyfall fame and #LukeCage's Mahershala Ali and chronicles the life of a young, gay black man struggling while growing up in a rough Miami neighborhood.

Pitt's production company, Plan B Entertainment, partnered with the independent company, A24 to produce the coming-of-age drama that has been garnering some Academy Award buzz. Plan B has produced such titles as 2014's Selma, the 2015 financial dramedy, The Big Short and the upcoming sequel to #WorldWarZ.

Jolie And Pitt's Custody Agreement

His appearance was made one day following the statement from Jolie's rep that she and Pitt have reached a custody agreement for their six children: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins, Knox and Vivienne. The rep told People magazine:

“We can confirm that childcare professionals have encouraged a legal agreement accepted and signed by both sides over a week ago. In accordance with this agreement, the six children will stay in their mother’s custody, and the children will continue therapeutic visits with their father. This has been determined by childcare professionals to be in the children’s best interest... We are not in a position to discuss the details. We hope now that it is clear that the events which led to the dissolution filing involved minor children and their wellbeing, there will be understanding of the sensitivity of the family situation. We believe that all sides are committed to healing the family and ask for your consideration during this difficult time.”

The pairing of #Brangelina were together for 10 years, and although their split has been a somewhat dirty one these past few months, we wish them and their family the best.

Brad Pitt will be seen next in his period drama, Allied, alongside Marion Cotillard on November 23rd and Angelina Jolie is set to produce an upcoming animated film, The Breadwinner, set for release in 2017.
