ICYMI - Animated Gems
If you are like me you spend a lot of your time with Netflix running in the background, content with it to be background noise and restarting an episode if it get's to far and you're now totally lost...

I love me a good show. I'm always down to watch a show if it's somethings old or maybe something new. I gravitate more to the older shows because I love watching a finished series. I can be patient but when it comes to binge watching a show for me there has to be an ending. Once in a while I just get sucked into the new shows coming out now. It sucks I have to wait for the new seasons but I guess it's worth it.
I binge-watched Avatar: The Last Airbender on Netflix
I was on Twitter, scrolling my life away - as one does - and I kept seeing Avatar memes everywhere. There were debates about the episodes, references about the characters and just a plethora of Avatar related content. Now, if you're familiar with twitter, then you know that it's not uncommon for a singular topic to take over the platform every now and then. Yet still I wondered...why Avatar?
ashley spencePublished 4 years ago in GeeksFirst and Last lines of OUTER BANKS characters
Let's be honest, we've all been obsessed with Outer Banks for the last month ever since it hit Netflix. So, I thought it would be fun to discover what the first and last lines were of each of the characters. All the characters changed and experienced so much, especially to do with prioritises and relationships. (I mean remember when Sarah was with Topper, feels like a long time ago huh)

The last time I was physically in a movie theater (for Impractical Jokers: The Movie), I saw The Lovebirds’ trailer. I thought it looked cute, and figured I’d see it once it came to streaming services. As fate would have it, The Lovebirds came to Netflix sooner than expected, due to COVID-19 restrictions preventing the theatrical release.

Ruby EstellePublished 4 years ago in Geeks‘Clueless’ Comes to Netflix: Why My Favorite Movie Should Be Your Next Watch
Sometimes, even when the world of film seems hopeless, what with highly anticipated films being postponed, all-out wars between Trolls and theaters, and beloved actors being exposed to a deadly virus, there is a beacon of hope. It can be different things to different people. But to me, it’s Clueless coming to Netflix on June 1st. Clueless is a 1996 film written and directed by Amy Heckerling that follows Cher Horowitz, a young and beautiful Beverly Hills rich girl, as she navigates and influences her friends’ social and love lives, all while wearing the greatest outfits you can imagine. It is, of course, an adaptation of Jane Austen’s Emma, and I have already written about the 2020 adaptation of Emma, which you can check out here. But, I digress. Allow me to tell you why the first thing you should do on June 1st is watch Clueless, which is a perfect movie.
MovieBabblePublished 4 years ago in GeeksA Filmmaker's Review: "The Devil Next Door" (2019, Netflix)
There were some aspects of this documentary that were better done than others. First and foremost we have the portrayal of information. Let us first go through what that information is. The information is simply this: a man who is now living in America after coming from Europe years before was once the ‘Ivan the Terrible’ at the Soribor Death Camp in Poland during the Second World War. This man ‘Ivan the Terrible’ was the one who took the most joy in sending the Jews to their deaths and was considered one of the scariest and harshest guards on site at the time. The suspect is taken to Jerusalem to face trial and is initially sentenced to death by hanging. But, when other pieces of information emerge, he is claimed to be not guilty and sent back to the USA. It is after a further point that he is considered to be a guard at the Treblinka Death Camp but not the ‘Ivan the Terrible’ they are looking for and he is arrested in America and put in prison with due course. During this time, he fakes disability and being too sick to face trial, a farce used by the Nazis during the Nuremberg trials in the 40s. However, he is still sentenced and we are left to make up our own minds about who he is after being given every piece of information about his past, his present and finally - his end.
