Black Superman: I'm Supposed to be Excited....But I'm Not
It was officially announced that WB will be rebooting Superman yet again. This time with J.J. Abrams in the producer chair and acclaimed writer Ta-Nehisi Coates helming the story. As a Black male comic-book fan, huge Superman nerd, fan of all of Coates's work especially his run on Black Panther, this should be the holy grail.

I have watched Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight (2008) many times, and have always wondered why Batman saves Harvey Dent after he clearly says he is going for Rachel. I mean it makes sense for him to save Harvey, because Harvey means more to the city then Rachel. Batman always does what is right after all. However, Batman is in love with Rachel. I guess my mistake was not realizing the Joker knew it.

Watching the season two premiere of Batwoman, it was not hard to put the pieces together before the cast. Our new lead Ryan Wilder (Javicia Leslie), witnesses a plane crash and finds the batsuit amongst the wreckage. Either a cosplayer was on the plane or Kate Kane. However, there is nobody. Commander Kane mentions the pilot's hand, and that is it. Within the realms of fiction, especially with comic book characters, we need a body.

I recently re-watched 2017's "Justice League" in preparation for the "Synder Cut" to come. As much as I would love to make this article entirely trashing this film, I won't. I'm about three years late for that. However, I felt like there's one interaction that I feel is incredibly overlooked and showed me that this movie does actually have some potential. That sentence really pains me to say as some who absolutely loves the DC universe.

Steven LeitmanPublished 3 years ago in GeeksWho is The Batwoman Supposed to be Then?
The moment that actress Javicia Leslie was cast as the new Batwoman, every entitled fanboy threw a hissy fit. Behavior such is not uncommon amongst gatekeeping, rigidly conservative fanboys. Did they sound off with Black Canary's casting in Birds of Prey? You bet! Remember Anna Diop in Titans as Starfire? A lot of moaning there too. It seems we can diagnose a large swath of DC fans with misogynoir. However, let us focus on Batwoman strictly for now.
Savant, A history behind another Heir
Brian Durlin, Who will become Savant, is a spoiled Heir to an enormous fortune who moves to Gotham to become a vigilante. However, after being called out by Batman for his complete lack of care to protect others he changes his path and decides to use his formidable computer skills to build a profitable blackmailing business in order to prove his genius and extort money from people. He was joined in the venture by an ex- Russian KGB Agent, Creote. Creote was devoted to Savant and even secretly in love with him.

Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel, Ph.D. is an Arkham Asylum psychologist. Harleen Quinzel becomes fascinated with the Joker while working at Arkham Asylum and volunteers to help treat him. She falls hopelessly in love with the Joker during their sessions, and she helps him escape from the asylum more than once.. When Batman returns a severely injured Joker to Arkham, she dons a jester costume to become Harley Quinn, the Joker’s sidekick. She becomes his accomplice and also his on-again off-again girlfriend. The Joker frequently insults, ignores, hurts, and even tries to kill Harley, but she always comes back to him, convinced he genuinely loves her. Harley refers to the Joker as Mistah J and Puddin’, terms of endearment that have since been used in nearly every adaptation in which the two characters appear.
Entertainment Nerd NewsPublished 3 years ago in GeeksHow Batman: The Animated Series Inspired Me
I feel pretty comfortable saying that everyone on the planet Earth knows who Batman is and the basics of his life story. Rich kid, parents killed in front of him in an alley, grows up training all his life to be the ultimate badass, dons a suit of high-tech armored pajamas, and punches out his issues in the face every night. Mostly does good for the world as a whole. I was (and still am, to an arguably lesser degree) obsessed with this show and all its follow up iterations. It inspired my life I think in many ways, but for this essay I’ll cover the top three. My sense of rightness and justice, my love of science, and my spirit of adventure.
