Video From Marvel Entertainment Showcases Top Moments From 'Agents of SHIELD' To Commemorate The Series' End
Last week, viewers tuned in to see the series finale of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD, which ran from 2013 to 2020. Surely, very few would have predicted this show lasting a whopping seven seasons. (Speaking for myself, I expected five at most, and I was totally wrong.) The show started off simply as a tie-in to the Marvel Cinematic Universe films. Over time, it stopped tying in as much and became more of its own thing. Some fans have had their issues with the show, but it maintained its own following over the years.

With the Infinity Saga having come to a close, those behind the Marvel Cinematic Universe have been looking for more avenues to explore, whether it be via films for Phase Four and beyond or via upcoming Disney+ shows. As far as the small screen goes, we have seen the end of an era this past week as Agents of SHIELD came to a close.

Disney+ Show, Loki, is expected to 'Mature' in a Unique Way
After a long hiatus due to the coronavirus, production on Loki is set to resume in August alongside other Marvel Studio properties such as The Falcon and Winter Soldier. Several fresh and veteran faces are joining Tom Hiddleston on Loki. Among them are Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, and Owen Wilson.
Culture SlatePublished 4 years ago in GeeksUpdated Report on Production Restart For 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,' 'Hawkeye,' and 'Loki'
Can you hear that sound, my fellow slates of culture? Yes, it is indeed an update on one of our favorite high-grossing franchises, which is aptly named the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Unfortunately, this time around, it is some slightly dour news, as reports of three productions have been halted due to the unavoidable news that is the current pandemic. With the famous "Infinity Saga" bringing about the story arc end **SPOILERS** of both Iron Man and Captain America, we the audience were going to be treated with Black Widow, but it was pushed back to November. Playing a pseudo domino effect on the franchise as it were, this has resulted in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, and Loki all to being delayed.

This year has seen the delay of many films thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is best to be safe, but many people have been wondering when they may see all of the movies that they have been anticipating. It may be a while for things to return to how they were, but people cannot help but speculate. Movies are a form of escapism, and lots of people crave escapism during a crisis.
Culture SlatePublished 4 years ago in GeeksDoctor Strange vs Scarlet Witch
This is a well known debate and though the obvious, common sense answer to any hero vs hero debate is it depends; it depends on the writer and what the intent of the story is. However we can hypothesize based on comic book feats, powers and weaknesses, and biggest wins over overpowered opponents. Using this type of analysis the answer to who would win Doctor Strange or Scarlet Witch is a loud, resounding Scarlet Witch.
Alexandrea CallaghanPublished 4 years ago in GeeksThis Black Widow Theory Suggests Natasha did not Actually Die in Avengers: Endgame
During Avengers: Endgame, to retrieve the soul stone on Vormir, Clint Barton (Hawkeye, played by Jeremy Renner) and Natasha Romanov (Black Widow, played by Scarlett Johansson) had an emotional scene where they had to decide who had to be sacrificed for the stone. After fighting and arguing, Natasha was the one who ended up trading her soul for the stone. Or did she?

7 LGBT Superheroes for the MCU
While DC/Warner Bros. have made strides including LGBT superheroes into their TV properties (albeit not such a great record on the movie front), Marvel/Disney is lagging behind. Things have been a little better at Fox, who've given us hints at Deadpool's bisexuality and paired him with the lesbian Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and made a series for the LGBT-friendly Runaways. Now that Disney has the rights to the Fox/X-Men characters, it's time they moved forward and gave us some serious LGBT representation on the big and small screens.
Daniel TessierPublished 4 years ago in Geeks AFTER AVENGERS ENDGAME: 5 STORYLINES WE WANT TO SEE IN THE MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE
After Avengers Endgame hit theaters last year, a lot of Marvel fans found themselves in a delirious state of fatigue. Who can blame them? Endgame pretty much cemented the Marvel Universe as the biggest film franchise there is. In one of the most iconic final battle sequences, widely known as 'Portals', we saw all of our favourite heroes side by side in a battle cry against Thanos. By the time the credits rolled, it seemed as if there wasn't any other way to move forward. The death of Iron Man, fat Thor accepting his new image, Black Widow's death, Captain America ageing away and a talking as well as a less troubled Hulk seemed like a mighty final goodbye.
Michael CouvarasPublished 4 years ago in GeeksWho was the Best Spider-man
Superhero and movie fans alike can consistently find themselves in the heated debate of "Who is the Best Spider-man?". Spider-man has had three different respected actors take on the role and each actor was able to hold their own in their own franchise, making this debate extremely difficult and controversial. However if we take the time to sit back and look at each actor objectively under a specific criteria, we may be able to get a clear answer. To decide who the best Spider-man was it is important to look at:
Jordon DumenilPublished 4 years ago in GeeksAnthony Mackie Explains Why He Criticized Marvel Studios About Diversity
The movie industry has come a long way in its inclusion and portrayal of minorities since it began. Early silent films such as The Birth of a Nation portrayed African Americans as essentially uncivilized monsters only out to hurt the good white people. Even if you think we have a long way to go to be truly inclusive, one has to admit that the film industry has made serious advances.
