Coming Soon: New York's Heroes and Villains FanFest

One of the hottest comic culture conventions is touching down once again, and we couldn't be more excited.

Over the years, there have been many different pop culture and comic book conventions that have gained international attention. NYC Comic Con and Dragon Con, for example, are some of the biggest conventions in the world — and they are, for the most part, geared towards geek culture.

Within geek culture as a whole, there are many niches that conventions cater almost exclusively to. Otakon is for anime, Anthrocon is for furries, and Bronycon is for My Little Pony fandom members. Every convention has its own followers and its own unique vibe.

For comic book fans like myself, there are very few conventions that offer the chance to see all your favorite comic book-related shows, movies, and cosplayers in an intimate environment like Heroes and Villains FanFest.

This international, seven-city comic convention is making its tours right now — and having a ticket is a surefire way to make sure that you have a great time.

Heroes and Villains brings the stars of major comics-based motion pictures and TV series to fans and lets you meet the people behind the magic of your favorite shows. You get to check out celebs, talk to them, and also take photos with them if you so choose.

This year, New York's Heroes and Villains will be September 16 and 17, and it will be held in the super-spacious Meadowlands Stadium. From what we've been hearing, it's going to be one of the best comic conventions to go to in the tri-state area.

New York's Heroes and Villains lineup is MARVELous this year.

Though we're sure there are going to be some pretty awesome panels featuring DC Comics heroes, we can't ignore the fact that the star lineup has a ton of huge names in the Marvel television universe.

Stephen Amell, one of the main stars of Arrow and TMNT, will be there to meet and greet fans alongside his Arrow costars, Willa Holland, Josh Segarra, Katrina Law, Katie Cassidy, John Barrowman, and Echo Kellium.

Fans of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will be happy to hear that Ming-Na Wen and Brett Dalton will be there, too. Other Marvel comics-based shows that are going to be heavily celebrity-repped include The Flash.

Diggin' DC? Don't worry, Heroes and Villains got you covered, too.

If you love Gotham, then you're going to be beyond stoked for New York's Heroes and Villains convention. David Mazouz, who plays Bruce Wayne on Gotham, will be present — alongside Robin Lord Taylor (Oswald Cobblepot) and Maggie Geha (Ivy Pepper/Poison Ivy).

Chilling out with Superman is also doable, since Brandon Routh of Superman Returns will be dropping by for a celebrity appearance as well. In other words, superheroes will be plentiful here, and the chances of you talking to them is way higher than ever before.

Plus, there's also regular comic convention fun, too.

Though there's definitely a lot of celebrity focus and TV show panels at Heroes and Villains, it's still got plenty of classic comic convention fun to enjoy. And, if you think about it, isn't that the main reason why people love conventions so much?

Cosplaying is allowed (and encouraged), there's a vendor's room for people who want to amp up their comic book stashes, and of course, there will be plenty of time to talk about which superhero is your favorite.

Of course, if you want to go but can't make it to the Meadowlands, there's always next year — or one of the five other nationwide conventions they're doing in the US alone.
