Could These Former Child Stars End Up in the MCU?

I'm always looking into actors and actresses that can be plugged into my fan casting polls and recently I had this question posed to me: What ever happened to the child actors that I remember from growing up?

I'm always looking into actors and actresses that can be plugged into my fan casting polls and recently I had this question posed to me: What ever happened to the child actors that I remember from growing up? There's no place better for that investigation/fan casting than right here on Moviepilot. Being that I'm a Marvel junkie, I thought I'd take a crack at casting these former stars into the MCU. I honestly don't know too much about DC (or Mutants for that matter), so if you have any suggestions for that casting, comment below.

Jason David Frank, Power Rangers

There's no one better to start with than the original Green Ranger himself. Jason David Frank has played the character of Tommy Oliver in six different Power Rangers series' from 1993 to 2013, since the young age of 20 when he started. He currently participates in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), is the owner and creator of MMA merchandise 'Jesus Didn't Tap,' and goes around to different Comic-Cons to chill with fans. Despite already having played a superhero of sorts, Frank is now in his forties and in perfect shape to return to his roots, so to speak. So, who do I see Frank being cast as? I would say, if he was with the Avengers, I'd want to see him cast as Wonder Man. Though, given the right direction and script, an Agent Venom Netflix series would be a cool place to see Frank cast as well.

Wonder Man or Agent Venom

Madeline Zima, The Nanny

Maybe best known for portraying Grace Sheffield on the sitcom, The Nanny, Zima has also proven herself on other shows. Popping up in single episodes of popular shows, she landed the role of Gretchen Berg on Heroes in 2010 (maybe that's why I can see her in a role with the MCU) and more recently with roles in Californication and Betas. As far as casting goes, my mind immediately goes to Tigra, though I doubt we'll see this character anytime soon. Maybe Crystal with The Inhumans coming our way soon?

Tigra or Crystal

Jonathan Lipnicki, Jerry Macguire

At five years old, Jonathan Lipnicki received global acclaim in the Academy Award winning film Jerry Maguire with Tom Cruise and Renee Zellweger. After his breakout role, Lipnicki had become a widely recognizable celebrity, with starring roles in the films Stuart Little, Stuart Little 2, Like Mike, and The Little Vampire, as well as having regular roles on the series The Jeff Foxworthy Show and Meego. After taking some time off to have a normal life, Lipnicki guest starred on several hit television shows, including Monk, Family Guy, and Glen Martin DDS. He was also cast in the lead of the award winning indie When Zachary Beaver Came to Town, and has roles in upcoming movies that are still in post-production. With Marvel and Netfilx's Iron Fist yet to be cast, I see the potential of having Lipnicki cast as Danny Rand. Or, depending on what the post-Civil War MCU looks like (going the route of the Young Avengers), perhaps casting him as Noh-Varr, better known as Protector or Marvel Boy, would be a better fit.

Iron Fist or Marvel Boy

Dante Basco, Hook

Maybe best known for his role as Rufio in the Robin Williams' classic Hook, Basco has spent most of his later career doing voice work on shows such as Avatar, Ultimate Spider-Man, and The Legend of Korra. With his voice work in so many fan favorites I could potentially see him in the role of a slightly older Sam Alexander/Nova to team up with Guardians of the Galaxy, or perhaps more realistically, back to who he voiced in Ultimate Spider-Man, Scorpion.

Justin Lee, Arrested Development

Even though his most recognizable role may have been Annyong Bluth on the cult classic Arrested Development, Lee has been in a handful of movies and TV shows since. Being "A purpose-driven actor passionately striving to leave a legacy through roles that challenge his creativity, range, and depth" (according to IMDb), makes him a perfect candidate for the MCU. An obvious character to see Lee cast as would be Amadeus Cho. But maybe an overlooked character would be Shang-Chi, the Master of Kung Fu.

Amadeus Cho or Shang-Chi

Mackenzie Rosman, 7th Heaven

Best known for her role in the TV series 7th Heaven as Ruthie Camden, Rosman has over ten years of acting experience and I could only see her as one role in the MCU: Molly Hayes from the Runaways.

Molly Hayes (briefly known as Princess Powerful).

Dakota Fanning, Uptown Girls

An actress that needs no introduction, who has been acting since the age of six and has little to no competition with her resume, is Dakota Fanning. I won't go into all that she has done (you can IMDb her on your own time), but this is another actress I could only see in one role: Karolina Dean, also from the Runaways.

Karolina Dean (a.k.a. Lucy In the Sky)

I know a few of these were from the Runaways, but with fan desire for the eventual Runaways movie, perhaps some these former child actors could fit the bill.
