Did The 'Zootopia' Director Just Hint at the Plot of 'Zootopia 2'?

Zootopia has taken the world by storm and became the most successful Disney film since Frozen. While it has not seen the same financial success as Frozen, I think it brought much more to the table than money; it made an impact in the hearts of many.

This movie hit me hard when I first went to see it, because of the obvious, but clever way they pointed out issues with America like prejudice.

With that great success comes the inevitable talk about a sequel that fans are already debating about.

Many fans have been clamoring on about how Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde ended the movie as best friends, but not romantically involved. It seems there has been a lot of traction for Judy and Nick to take that next step in the sequel.

It seems Zootopia director Rich Moore could have hinted at just that! After a Twitter user described a scene where Judy introduces Nick to her parents, Rich Moore replied with this tweet:

While I am sure that no actual script or even plot outlines of been written or talked about, could this be an inkling of what is going on inside the heads of the decision makers behind Zootopia?

It makes sense when you think about it!

It is a fair argument to make that the whole point of Zootopia was to point out the obvious race issues going on in the United States, so why wouldn't a sequel to the movie be any different?

Could 'Zootopia 2' center around Judy and Nick's growing romantic feelings for each other, but fearing the social stigma of being a "interspecies" relationship?

Of course interspecies in this case being a metaphor for interracial.

It could make for an amazing story, especially if you add on Judy and Nick's hi-jinks as police partners. It will do the same thing the first movie did and that is make the audience think.

This movie should continue in the tone of the past, and keep shining the spotlight on social issues. It could make a lasting memory in our hearts and go down in history as one of the most influential franchises in Disney history.

Whether a sequel is ever made to Zootopia though, I want to say how grateful I am to Disney, Rich Moore, and everyone else involved with this movie for presenting such a deep and amazing story. It pointed out the problems that our society has, but gave us hope for a brighter future.
