Distant Pain and Love

Love exists no matter the distance between lovers.

Troye was sitting on the edge of his bed looking out the window where there were numerous stars staring back at him. The stars he'd want to see with his Tilly. He couldn't help but sigh as he was looking out the window. This feeling of sorrow was too familiar to him, especially at times when he has to go home or on a different flight that increases the distance between him and Tyler. He figured that, by now, Tyler could either be asleep or busy with his morning routine, so calling him was out of the question. All he could think to do is lie on his bed and look up at the ceiling, keeping himself occupied with thoughts of his cotton candy-quiffed boyfriend.

Tyler was constantly washing his face in the bathroom. Unless his face looked as if he actually got a decent night's sleep, he wasn't satisfied. He exited the bathroom after another five minutes and went onto his laptop in the living room. He was looking over at the videos he recently did with the precious little twink that he adored so much. He knew that is was basically torture to think of him while he was in Australia, but he didn't care. As he was watching the videos, he smiled while tears came slithering down his face. He should be used to the pain he felt of being apart from Troye, but the results are always unpredictable and they both knew it. Tyler knew that eight months was the longest that he and Troye had spent time together, but it still felt like it wasn't enough. He took a framed picture of Troye smiling with his teeth and he couldn't help but embrace it tightly. He knew nothing could be done to ease the pain until the next time they meet. They both talked about the possible idea of them living together, but Troye mentioned that it might be a bit complicated to actually move from Australia and Tyler accepted that. Tyler eventually stopped embracing the picture and turned on TRXYE to feel as if his boyfriend was actually there.

Troye took a moment to see that there was a piece of paper that was still in his open suitcase. He didn't realize it beforehand due to his emotions flooding his brain like he was Arnold Spirit. He went to the suitcase and unfolded it. He recognized the handwriting. It was Tyler's. He took a moment to read the note:

Dear Troye. I can't stop thinking about you and I'm guessing everything that I wanted to say won't be said at the airport. I just want you to know that I will always be there and will always love you no matter what happens. I want you to feel confident in the fact that, no matter what the distance between us, I will forever love you, from your eyes to your smile to your hair to everything else about you. If you ever feel down, feel free to think of me. I love you 5ever, too.Tyler

Troye couldn't help but look at the note and cling onto it tightly. A tear slipped out of his eye and he immediately got out of his bed to restuff his suitcase, only with more stuff in the suitcase. As he brought his suitcase downstairs, he came across his father and asked if he can bring him to the airport. Obviously, Shaun could tell what would be the reason for Troye's need to go to the airport and said, "Be sure to call and visit when you can" with a wink.

Much later, Tyler was lying in his bed asleep, but someone was knocking at his door. Mostly tired, he got out of his bed to go answer the door. When he opened the door, though, he came across a sight that he never thought he'd see, let alone before three in the morning. As his jaw fell a little bit, Troye lifted his mouth closed up.

"Please tell me I'm not dreaming," Tyler said.

"Don't worry. You're not. My dad understands and my family knows by now," Troye responded.

As Troye closed the door, Tyler absentmindedly gave Troye the biggest hug. As he embraced the feeling of his Australian boyfriend back in his arms and his scent, Troye clung himself onto Tyler and briefly stroked his colored quiff.

"We've been apart for too long, Tilly."

As they slowly walked to the bedroom, hand in hand, Tyler whispered, "I know. We'll never face that pain again."
