Grindelwald causing problems for everyone

Ok, so there's a divisiveness going around with this movie. It's in the same rut as Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi, I just wanted to let everyone know that, whoever is reading this and that this movie is different compared to the last movie. You'll either love it or hate it. Lastly, I'm not as big as a Potterhead as I was when I was a teenager but I still love the Wizarding World. I'd still love to be a wizard in this world. With that being said, this movie was amazing!

Now, if you think Grindelwald (Johnny Depp, "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales") wasn't much of a threat in "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them", prepare to be proven wrong because the movie opens with him imprisoned by MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America) and what he does to escape reminds you why he's not to be overlooked.

After dealing with Grindelwald, we are caught up with Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne, "The Theory of Everything") at the Ministry of Magic in London to lift his travel ban after the events of the first movie and you meet his crush from Hogwarts, Leta Lestrange (Zoe Kravitz, "Dope") who is engaged to his older brother, Theseus (Callum Turner, "The Only Living Boy in New York") who is clearly different from Newt. Newt is presented with an opportunity to help Theseus catch Grindelwald to lift the travel ban but he says no.

When we go back to Newt's place, we are caught up with Queenie (Alison Sudol, "Between Us") and Jacob (Dan Fogler, "Balls of Fury") who are also now engaged but Jacob's memories of the events in New York were never obliviated. Jacob and Queenie have an argument, she leaves. Dumbledore (Jude Law, "Sherlock Holmes") finds Newt and tells him about Creedence Barebone (Ezra Miller, "Justice League") who is still alive after seemingly being killed in New York has survived and resurfaced in Paris. He also wants Newt to find him since Dumbledore can't because he's under surveillance by the Ministry of Magic at Hogwarts.

When Newt ends up in Paris, he finds Tina (Katherine Waterston, "Alien Covenant") who was promoted at the MACUSA and is also there to find Creedence. She and Newt bump into each other. From there, more things unfold and holy smokes, they unfold. There are so many twists and turns along the way, it's like Grindelwald isn't even much of a problem and then, the end happens. When Grindelwald comes back on the scene at the end, he goes for the jugular and when it hits, blood leaks profusely.

Lastly, there's a twist that happens right before the credits start rolling and it's the kind of twist that will make you hold your head because you never saw it coming. That's another great thing about the twists, you never see them coming and sure, you can guess them during the movie but by the time they happen, you might feel like you were slapped in the face.

Authors Opinion:

Now, yes, I do think the movie was amazing but I do see why people would find the movie disappointing. I don't necessarily have any complaints against the movie, I just wish there was a scene in the movie treated differently. I'm not giving any spoilers but the scene involves cats and I wish it was handled more like an escape scene instead of an action sequence. I liked the scene, I just wish it was handled differently but that doesn't change the way I feel about the movie overall and I can't wait for the third movie. An ending like this, things are bound to go down in the next one and I can't wait for it. This movie was even darker compared to the last movie so out of 10, this movie gets a solid 9 from me.
