'Fast and Furious 9' Is Definitely Happening Following "Candy-Ass" Feud Between the Main Stars

Fast and Furious 8 is proving to be a huge box office hit, but #FastAndFurious9 was left hanging in the balance when the two main stars Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel had a rather serious argument over something small.

According to TMZ, fans of the franchise were told the feud was not about money, but it was about who was to have the most onscreen time in #TheFateOfTheFurious. It has been reported that Johnson wanted to be in the main spotlight, putting Diesel behind him. However, Johnson then realised that Fast 8 was actually Vin Diesel's film, and that Vin Diesel was listed as the first actor on the film's call sheet.

Best Friends Are Meant To Argue, Right?

Following the feud, Dwayne Johnson is confirmed to be starring in the ninth instalment of the franchise, now that his and Vin Diesel's over-exaggerated argument has been put behind them. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson said this in a comment:

“Oftentimes, just like in life, you have different philosophies and people have different fundamental philosophies on how you do things. And again, the most important thing is just the movie. So I’m happy that we're here in New York City, I’m happy the fans love it.”

TMZ reported that Diesel and Johnson met up several times in private to discuss the issue between them. With the meetings having a positive outcome Diesel and Johnson are finally all "good" again, and Johnson is "1000% in" Fast and Furious 9.

Where Does Fast 9 Currently Stand?

With the latest film for the franchise smashing the $500 million at the box office, it appears they're all prepared to take on the ninth film. But, fans were kept on their toes when the predicted release date for Fast and Furious 9 was revealed, alongside the predicted date for Fast and Furious 10.

Whilst there is no details regarding Fast 9 at the moment, fans will have to binge eat to the current eight before number 9 is released on April 19th 2019. Then it's another two year wait for Fast 10, as that as been scheduled to be released on April 2nd 2021.
