"Come on, again!" Black Storm yelled from across the gym."Get into my brain, read what I am about to do."

This kind of training is what Black Storm loved to do, he would make me repeat something over and over again until it was drilled into my head. I was already feeling pretty beaten up, and we had been doing the same exercise for three hours. I exhaled and inhaled, and I lunged at him with all I had, he dodged me easily. I tried to remember what I did last time that I got into his head. My thoughts were interrupted when Trevor came in he walked along the sides of the gym holding his iPad and tapping things as he walked over to the electricity box when something had hit my face. It was Black Storm he had punched me, and I could feel my face swelling, it was impossible to think of what excuse I had this time for wearing a swollen face to school.

"Black Storm! Geez, you trying to kill Asmerla?" he asked as he looked up. I got up from the floor.

"Lesson 16, do not get distracted," he said, and he offered a hand, but I swatted it away, and I used my feet to sweep him off the ground, literally. I went into a fighting stance and kicked him in the stomach, but he tensed his muscles, so he could barely feel the impact.

"Okay, Trevor, why don't you come here and show her some of your moves and see what she can do?" he asked Trevor, and he put down his iPad and removed his glasses.

"Really? you are giving me Trevor to fight with?" I asked Black Storm.

"Win, and you can go home," said Black Storm and he stepped aside. Trevor went into a fighting stance, and it caught me off guard. How did one of my best friends who was considered a geek know how to fight? Trevor went for it he punched me, and I took the blow to the knee. I fell down, and within seconds he had me in what was called "The Death" hold.

"You got cocky Asmerla," he told me, and he dusted himself off and went back to where he left his iPad.

"Did you see what he did?" asked Black Storm.

"Yeah, he won," I replied glumly.

"No, you saw him as weak because he does not have the muscle that I do, but that distracted you, and he found your weak spots and went for them, that's how he defeated you. He does not have muscle, so he has to be smart about his moves," explained Black Storm.

"Anyways, same time as tomorrow," he said, and he grabbed his towel wiped his forehead and went to change.

"Trevor?" I asked him.

"Yeah," he said as he still tapped his iPad and did not turn around. "What's up?" he asked as he faced me.

"How did you know that my knee was weak?" I asked him.

"It was the way you stood, you didn't lean on it as much when you were fighting," he replied.

"Oh, I see. How do you know how to fight?" I asked him.

"Everyone here needs to know how, I even have an identity as a superhero too, I go by Dr. Tech when I'm in the field. I just prefer being here," he replied, and he finished what he was doing, and he put his tablet away. "Also, don't let Black Storm intimidate you he's actually a really nice guy, he just wants you to take him seriously because it can save your life," he said. Just then, he cut himself off and turned up his radio.

"Well, I got to go, but Black Storm has an injured ankle, so next time use that to your advantage," he said, and he hurried off out of the gym. I went into the locker room and changed into my regular clothes.

Amy came and picked me up.

"Why do you think Black Storm is training you for so long?" she asked.

"What do you mean?"

"Maybe, you're just bad at it," she commented, and that was enough for her to say to keep my mouth shut for the rest of the ride home. Once we got back, Jon was waiting in my living room.

"You should sit Asmerla, he told me and then I did."

"We ran some more tests of your blood, and we found an abnormality," he said.

"Yeah, that I can read minds," I replied.

"No, it's more than that, but it seems you might have more powers than we had thought," he said, and he pulled out the little black case again. I had to put on more stickers.

"Just your legs and arms," he instructed, and I put two on each arm and leg.

If I was getting more powers that must have meant that I was going to experience a little more pain. I had enough trouble getting my first power as it was and now there was going to be more. It also meant that I was nowhere near finishing training with Black Storm.

The next few days went as per usual. I went to school, I would go to training and then do homework until 1:30 AM and then wake up and repeat until it was Saturday. I woke up, and I had slept in until noon. Amy and Alexis were outside in the backyard. I went out in my pajamas still, and they saw me and laughed.

"What?" I asked.

"It's your hair," commented Amy. "Black Storm has been tough on you, and we can see it," she said. "You're more fit than us." That comment surprised me. Although, if I was getting more powers it made sense for him to be hard on me. I would have to train much longer than anyone else because I still did not have the complete set of powers. It sucked, for the most part, I just want to be with my sisters taking the master classes at the Justice League building.
