Welcome to Chapter 1 of the Female Anime Nerd Guide for Male Anime Newbies/Non-Anime Loving Boyfriends. (Really need to figure out a shorter title, LOL.) This chapter focuses on when the female anime nerd has a crush on you or someone else. I will walk you through the four main types of "dere." Each one has a particular personality and way of showing their affection. Most anime nerds are the Dandere type when they have a crush, but I'm going to walk you through the others just to be safe.

Notice: I'm writing this as a female anime nerd myself. I for one am a Dandere, but I have friends of the other categories and in the generation of the LGBT community (no hate. I have many friends a part of it and I fully support it). I have witnessed some of these first hand. Most female anime crazy nerds will try to imitate the flirting/stalking style of their favorite anime or video game characters but not all, so don't go assuming every girl likes you. Anyway let's get on to it.

#1 Tsundere

These girls tend to be the biggest fans of characters such as Aisaka Taiga, Toosaka Rin, Maki Nishikino, Haruhi Suzumiya, etc. You can spot a Tsundere from anywhere. A tsundere girl will often tell you to "go away" or "leave her alone," but then at the same time try to always be near you. She will act mean towards you, call you names, and overall act like she hates you. Even though she is mean to you she will get awkward when someone brings up the topic of any relationship or love in general.

The best way to deal with a Tsundere is to try to be nice to her and don't seem so offended by what she says. If she knows that she actually hurt you then she will hate herself and never live down what she has done. This will make things awkward between y'all and that is never good.

#2 Yandere

These girls tend to be the biggest fans of characters such as Yuno Gasai and Ayano Aishi. The main detail that is distinct about a Yandere is that instead of awkwardly standing next to their crush or trying to talk to them, these girls will watch from afar and become what we like to call stalkers. Now for those of you who know anything about Yanderes you know that a Yandere is willing to commit murder for their "senpai." While this may be true, us girls in real life, no matter how anime crazy we are, we won't go that far. The most a Yandere in real life is cyber bullying or leaving harmful notes to the "rival chans" until they no longer feel confident enough to purse their "senpai."

The best way to deal with a Yandere is try to notice her. All a Yandere wants is for you to notice her. Try actually talking to her and get her to stop any bullying she is doing.

#3 Kuudere

OK, now I can't tell you much about the Kuudere because I don't have as much experience with them, but I will tell you what I can.

These girls tend to be fans of characters such as angel (angel beats), Rei Ayanami, Mei Misaki, And Homura Akemi. A Kuudere is the type of girl who makes herself seem emotionless to everyone around her. She tends to not talk to anyone or do anything to make her stand out. When she likes you she will talk to you like a normal person and show emotion towards you.

#4 Dandere

These girls tend to be fans of characters such as Umi Sonoda, Nagisa Furukawa, and Hinata Hyuga. A Dandere tends to come off shy and awkward. They won't speak to you but rather silently whisper your name when you are near. These girls will blush at the mention of your name, and any little romantic comment or action from you will make them faint. These girls tend to be the kindest and best girlfriends.

The best way to deal with these girls is be a stupid oblivious baka. I mean...it worked for Naruto. He ended up marrying the girl.

Anyway that's it for Chapter 1; I hope you guys tune in for chapter 2: The First Date. Also I plan on writing something called "How to Seem Normal When You Really Aren't." Anyway, guys, thanks for reading.
