When SyFy channel's insane idea of mixing tornados and sharks together hit our screens in 2013, we were all actually shocked about how well it actually worked. To be fair, doing the math of Twister + Jaws = success shouldn't have been that hard to master. Now three years and four films later, we have a teaser for the incredible Sharknado 4, and no, this isn't a hoax!

At only 20 seconds long, this could be one of the weirdest videos we have seen since we watched Kung Fury! Sharknado 4 picks up five years after Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!, with our main cast trying to holiday in Las Vegas — the clue is in the title that things will probably get a little "stormy" from here on out.

Starting like a prelude to The Hangover, the trailer soon throws you straight into the action of sharks whirling down the Las Vegas strip and even a stripper beating down one of the sea beasts with his own crotch — who knew?

Stripper vs. Shark

This time the franchise takes a stab at another cult phenomenon, borrowing from Star Wars for its title Sharknado: The 4th Awakens. SyFy's Twitter campaign for the film is a cross between everything from Texas Chainsaw Massacre to X-Men, but sadly we hoped for a more Star Wars-ey feel to the trailer.

If you thought that their marketing was crazy enough, the film has some pretty big celebrity backers too. A full list of cameos reveals that Duane Chapman (a.k.a. Dog the Bounty Hunter), Stacey Dash, David Faustino and even Slipknot’s Corey Taylor will all play a part in the upcoming epic!

Joining them will be longstanding Sharknado veterans Ian Ziering and Tara Reid as our heroes, Fin and April Shepard. Mr. "Is-there-anything-I-won't-do" David Hasselhoff will also return as Gilbert Grayson Shepard, and Gary Busey is cast as April's newcomer father, Wilford Wexler. Fans of Reid had better watch out though, it could be fourth time unlucky as April's last outing in the Sharknado films.

Reid in 'Sharknado 3'

The stereotypically campy finale of Sharknado 3 meant that Reid found her character about to be flattened by a piece of falling space shuttle. With the first two films generating over a billion tweets between them, it looks like the fourth film is definitely upping the ante. No. 4 has been promoted by #AprilLives or #AprilDies, with you deciding via social media and the fate of April Shepard will be revealed when Sharknado 4: The 4th Awakens is released on July 31.

Debuting July 31 at 8pm ET, this just can't come quick enough. Set your DVR and batten down the hatches — it looks a little windy outside!
