Mighty 'Game Of Thrones' fans are still recovering from the epic sixth Season Finale, but sadly we bring you some devastating news that you'll be gutted to hear. The co-creators of the hit HBO show David Benioff and D.B Weiss have explained what they have planned for the future of 'Game Of Thrones'. It's defiantly not what fans intend to hear.

The co-creators have been talking to Deadline and have revealed that there will only be just a few episodes during the next two Seasons to come in the future. It was previously hinted that there would only be seven Seasons of the remarkable show, however Benioff has explained that there will be two more Seasons to come at the least.

“It's two more seasons we're talking about. From pretty close to the beginning, we talked about doing this in 70-75 hours, and that's what we'll end up with,” he told Deadline. “Call it 73 for now.” - Benioff

Over the last six Seasons, 'Game Of Thrones' fans have been binge eating to 10 episodes per Season. Roughly around sixty hours of footage worth. This leaves fans gripping on as that leaves just 13-15 more hours of the initial amount of hours for the total running time of the show. These 13-15 hours will run across the two confirmed Seasons.

“We're trying to tell one cohesive story with a beginning, middle and end. We've known the end for quite some time and we're hurtling towards it. Those last images from the [season six finale] showed that. Daenerys is finally coming back to Westeros; Jon Snow is king of the North and Cersei is sitting on the Iron Throne. And we know the Night King is up there, waiting for all of them. The pieces are on the board now.” - Benioff

The showrunners have insisted that they didn't actually want to "pad" out the show itself but instead keep the main tone they currently have set. But to end on a lighter note, four directors have officially been confirmed for the seventh Season of the popular show. They are: Alan Taylor, Jeremy Podeswa, Mark Mylod and Matt Shakman.
