We're still a few years away from the premiere of Godzilla: King Of The Monsters (we get it in 2019), but if you're itching for giant monster battles, Kong: Skull Island will be released next week and will tie into #Godzilla2. That said, casting is ongoing and announcements are being made as we speak. The first casting announcement made revealed that Millie Bobby Brown would be starring in Godzilla: King Of The Monsters.

Kyle Chandler and Vera Farmiga join Millie Bobby Brown in 'Godzilla: King Of The Monsters.'

Brown is known for her featured role on #StrangerThings and will return for Season 2 of the series this year. After Season 2 of Stranger Things, Millie Bobby Brown is set to feature in Godzilla: King Of The Monsters alongside two other Hollywood heavyweights.

Alongside Brown, Kyle Chandler and Very Farmiga were recently added to the cast as well. #VeraFarmiga will play the mother to Millie Bobby Brown's character. As for Chandler, he may be playing the father. Chandler is currently set to play the main protagonist in Godzilla: King Of The Monsters who has yet to be given a specific role.

Reports from The Wrap indicate that #KyleChandler has joined the cast in a role to be revealed later on. He was presumed to be playing Cabale in Deadpool 2 but those claims turned out to be false. After exaggerated comments suggested that Chandler was selected over several more fitting actors,, fans took to the internet to voice their concerns. Fortunately, the truth behind the rumors revealed that Chandler was never in negotiations to play Cable. Prospects of Chandler portraying the time-traveling mutant Cable were highly exaggerated and wound up amounting to nothing.

What is Chandler's role in 'Godzilla: King of the Monsters'?

As for Chandler's part in Godzilla King of The Monsters, that s still to be determined but it looks like he'll be part of a new cast, unrelated to the cast of Godzilla (2014). It may not seem like it, but Godzilla: King Of The Monsters is reportedly a sequel to the 2014's Godzilla movie.

What's unclear is whether or not Godzilla: King Of The Monsters will directly address the events of the previous movie, including the fate of the featured cast, there's likely to be some explanation given for the lapse in time between the events of Godzilla and Godzilla: King Of The Monsters.

It is possible the cast of Godzilla will be asked to return but nothing has indicated this so far. If the cast of Godzilla were to return, word of their appearance in the sequel would have been reported by now.

Regardless, news of Kyle Chandler and Vera Farmiga joining the cast of Godzilla: King Of The Monsters should excite most fans. Both Chandler and Farmiga have excellent track records on screen, so they will make exciting additions to Godzilla: King Of The Monsters. With Millie Bobby Brown also bringing her skills to the set, the film looks set to be more than worthwhile.
