It was an early March afternoon. The chilly winds of winter slightly subdued and nature started its reawakening waiting for its new life to begin. Wearing a blue long dress Michiru daintily stepped into the building of her music management, her long aquamarine hair flowing after her as if they were waves of the sea.

"Good Afternoon," she greeted the suddenly very nervous and amazed receptionist with a polite smile. She had never seen the girl before; she guessed the brown-haired must be a new addition to the staff judging by the fact the always up-to-date experienced colleague was standing next to her watching each of her moves. She was unmistakably a foreigner.

"Oh, good afternoon Mrs. Tenou," she bowed smiling still slightly nervous. The senior receptionist standing next to her elbowed her with a shocked face starting to scold her quietly.

Michiru's eyes widened at how she was called, for the first time in her life and her heart started to fill with warmth, beating faster. Oh, how she wished it to be true. To be the bride of Haruka was secretly a bigger dream for her than being an even more well-known violinist. And this person actually thought she already was and for some reason, it filled her with pride and happiness. Her relationship with Haruka was not a secret to anyone; they were often invited to shows together, had joint interview sessions but everyone was subtle never to make mistakes such as the new staff member did.

"I am terribly sorry Kaiou-san!" she bowed deeply, realizing her mistake, not knowing what to expect from the celebrity. Will she lose her job?

Michiru just smiled warmly at her, her expression soft and she deliberately didn't hide how happy she was about it. "It is completely alright young lady. I hope you will enjoy working here," she chuckled lightly in a good mood and added "Good luck" before she disappeared into the elevator.

Michiru's heart was still beating crazily fast. Being called like this stirred her heart with yearning and hoping for a potential future... Someday. She knew Haruka loved her. The way she was taken care of, the passionate but gentle way she was held so securely in those strong arms. She melted every time Haruka looked at her with those warm green eyes that made her forget the world. She knew it. But she also knew that Haruka was not the type to just fall in front of her knees asking her to marry. The free-willed, wild wind as the blond was might never get to that stage. And it didn't matter.

They were together, sharing each other's life the closest way possible and it was enough. However, hearing this, Michiru liked to play with the idea of walking down that aisle for her lover, sealing their fate together in every way possible. There was always hope and Michiru couldn't be anything else than positive at the moment.

As soon as the doors closed, she leaned onto the mirrored wall of the small space and a daydreaming sigh left her lips. Mrs. Tenou... huh?

--

"Sorry for making you wait Michiru." Haruka said with an apologetic smile as soon as she parked in front of the huge building of her girlfriend's agency. She was sitting in her yellow sports car which just arrived, being a little bit late with picking her lover up. The aquamarine haired was patiently waiting for her outside; she knew Haruka was busy with work as well and there were no hard feelings for being late.

"Oh, I wonder what kind of kitten stole your time and made me wait for you?" She teased with a mischievous smile tossing her head over her shoulder as she approached the car.

"A very cute one," the blond woman joked with a smirk, but they both knew that was not the case. Even though Haruka liked to flirt with pretty girls she never took it seriously, it was just a habit and made out of amusement only lasting for seconds. Everyone thought she was a man anyway, she never took the little wordplay and cute names seriously. However, she made a promise to herself along the way that she will reduce it or stop it but then again, Michiru knew how much she would even die for her. She knew those few catchy phrases to other girls mean nothing.

"Oh, is that it?" Michiru got into the car next to Haruka and kept on that amused glint in her eyes. They shared a sweet kiss before the blond smirked.

"What? Are you jealous?" Haruka laughed lightly as she started the engine.

"Maybe." The aquamarine haired girl said with a slight humor but her gentle smile gave her away. "How does my sky knight want to make it up for me hmm?"

"What about not going to let you go tonight after a cruise along on the beach?" Haruka knew the direction by heart. She was aware of all the favorite shoreline spots of Michiru and wanted to amaze the girl today again by taking her there.

"Watching the sunset meanwhile I get to drown in the sea of your eyes?" This was said with a charming smile.

"A smooth talker as always Haruka," the shorter woman chuckled lightly. She was still in an extremely good mood, the way she was addressed earlier made her day completely and what could it make even better; being next to the love of her life.

--

As they walked along the coastline just where the waves wash the sand, fingers entwined, Haruka couldn't bear from refraining to ask.

"Michiru?" Her voice was slightly soft but hinted that she was curious about something.

"Hm?" the girl looked up from the waves to that handsome face and smiled contently.

"You seem to be in a very good mood today." Haruka caressed a bang out of her lover's eyes which was swept there by the wind.

"Aren't I always when I am with you?" came the reply along with a chuckle and the smaller girl made them stop walking.

"Did something good happen?" the racer smiled even more curious now. Her lover was usually not this cheerful all of a sudden.

"Oh indeed. Something very good," Michiru hummed, her eyes were shining.

"Care to share?" Haruka tried with flashing a more charming smile to get the answer out quicker.

"Hmmm maybe," the aquamarine-haired was more than amused now, she knew this tactic but she was a teaser by nature if it came to Haruka.

"How cold. And I brought you especially to this magnificent spot," she pouted slightly, time to play as cute as she could be, she wanted to hear what happened badly.

"Oh, you and your magnificent spots eh Haruka." Michiru smirked knowingly which caused the other to blush and clear her throat. The smaller woman laughed amused at the expression and deliberately didn't say anything else just looked how setting sun is melting into the sea bathing everything into soft orange light. Almost magical.

Realizing Michiru was not going to share on her own, Haruka pushed, even more, teasing. "Some new worker?"

"But of course," came the cheerful reply with a half smirk.

That was it, her lover was in extra-Haruka-torturing mood.

"I hope they know their limits." she said feeling a stir of jealousy getting at her. Someone made _HER_ Michiru this happy and it wasn't her. It was a mysterious someone the blond felt the urge to strangle.

"Are you jealous?" Michiru smirked even more mischievously enjoying this way too much.

"Me?" Haruka huffed shaking her head. "Never as long as I am the only one in your eyes."

The blond dared to expect some lines like "of course Haruka, you are the only one for me" or "silly you know I love only you" but instead all she got was a chuckle. Just.A.Chuckle and it started to drive her mad. "So?"

"So what?" Michiru played more, raising an eyebrow.

"Tell me?" She was not famous for her patience especially if it involved this certain someone.

"Well..." the aquamarine-haired started "There is this new handsome girl at the reception." Oh, the reaction will be priceless, she knew it and she didn't get disappointed even a bit as she saw Haruka's face. Oh, the poor woman but it was somehow so much fun. Payback for all the flirtings.

"Oi!" the racer didn't like this answer at all and the thorns of jealousy poked her heart even more.

All she earned was a giggle and a sentence which felt as if cold water was poured into her neck.

"It is the way she called me."

Alright...was this the way Michiru felt every time she flirted with a girl out of joke? Her expression darkened. "Can I kill her?"

Michiru poked her nose laughing lightly "Oh why so violent my dear?" Knowing Haruka's sulky face that much that she won't get an answer the girl continued. "She got scolded for it by the senior receptionist, but she doesn't even know how she made my day with it."

"Michiru.........." Haruka was more than not amused now and her expression was between sulking, mad and hurt but at the same time, it also looked like a desperate, miserable puppy out in the rain.

Michiru gave a small kiss on blond's cheek because she started to feel sorry for her but it was no reason to stop. She continued still somewhat amused "She is a foreigner and doesn't know the etiquette, also she was a little bit misinformed."

The blond was slightly better from the sudden contact and smirked, trying to look more charming than jealous. "Sure she couldn't say anything by far as catchy as I do."

"Oh, she might have beaten you this time." The girl winked laughing and Haruka gaped. Ouch.

"Oi!" she really was not amused at all.

"Ah, you are so cute when you are jealous." Michiru wrapped her arms around her, just resting her head on the broad shoulders sighing contently. How she loved being near Haruka like this.

"I am not." The blond muttered and automatically tightened the arms around her lover.

"Yes of course..." Michiru whispered burying herself into that safety and warmth those arms radiated and gave out a small chuckle. She was still in love the same way she first saw Haruka so many years ago.

After a while of just holding each other Haruka started with a quiet slightly defeated voice. "Nee Michiru...you really are shining. Does she really..." however, a delicate finger on her lips made her unable to finish the sentence and as she locked eyes with those deep ocean blue ones she saw all the love and certainty regretting even starting to speak.

"Mrs. Tenou doesn't appreciate doubt." The girl finally revealed the nickname smiling lovingly, and she knew Haruka realized this was the big secret. She couldn't suppress a laugh when she saw the extremely red embarrassed face of the usually oh-so-cool tomboy.

"W-who?!? W-what??" Oh, dear Gods, Haruka thought her heart will stop from all the feelings rushing through it, all the possibilities but at the same time shock to some extent.

--

Days passed, and they never brought the topic up again. Michiru was fine with it, she knew how hard it is for Haruka to express emotions by words, to confess something would be a huge step for her which — Michiru assumed — she was not ready to do yet. It was alright. They were together and even though before they confessed their feelings to each other their bond was special and words were never really needed between them. A love which was repeated over and over again every lifetime. Which ended so tragically in the Silver Millennium could bloom in this era. And it was not determined by or with words. The fewer times said the more impact they had, Michiru realized. The occasions those three words were whispered into her ear while those lips were kissing her earlobe, those strong arms holding her tightly making her feel heaven, made them be special.

Actions speak louder than words. Both of them knew they would do everything for each other, even dying if it was necessary in a heartbeat. Being together for more than eight years didn't lessen the initial feeling they had when they first got involved in the world of romance. The love and need for the other, in every meaning, didn't fade even a bit and Michiru felt fortunate. Happy to have chosen this past, happy with who she was and who she chose to be with. She sometimes remembered the schoolgirl who watched the popular racer Haruka Tenou from afar wishing to be able to speak to her just once... to ride in her car just once...to...

"Are you alright Michiru?" came the whisper from those lips that spoiled her skin and Michiru sighed in delight.

"Never better."

In a week it was a big day for the young violinist. The beginning of her concert tour in Japan with possible destinations abroad as well. She didn't like to go out of the country when Haruka had races in Japan. Being without her partner was extremely difficult for her and usually, her music turned out to be more dramatic when separated. This time, however, her tall blond knight promised her — as it is her unusual week off work for whatever reason — she will go with Michiru wherever she had to go.

A concert tour where her lover was in the audience was like a dream to the young artist. She was in her dressing room making the final touches of her makeup and appearance...or more precisely saying retouches as the kiss they shared a minute ago before Haruka left the room happened to turn out more passionate than planned. Her lips still burned with warmth and a gentle smile crossed her features. Life was incredibly good, she enjoyed every second of it.

After finishing with her preparations she nodded to the mirror satisfied hoping Haruka will be swept off the ground by her looks. She always took extra care of how she looked like, always made sure her hair is perfect and her dress has no flaws. This — she once noted to herself amused — might be the aftereffect of her past life, the always high standard etiquette-princess Neptune. In this era as well although she was not royalty this time, she was advertised as the "beauty princess" for her looks. Tons of men were sending her flowers from all over the country. She was voted the number one celebrity men want to marry and the number one beautiful woman in Japan but she didn't care for any of it. For her, Haruka was life... the world. All she cared for.

Her light blue elegant, slightly princess style dress which matched her long aquamarine hair perfectly was flowing after her as she approached her violin. The case rested on a table neatly, the woman always took extra care of the instrument. She opened the case and blinked a little bit surprised as a navy blue colored envelope was resting on the wooden body. Haruka's color... She gently took it into her hand with a smile and opened it up wondering all the way what could be in it.

Her eyes widened and soon filled with tears as she held the content in her trembling hands, unable to process this pleasurable shock. The gold ring with aquamarine colored stones rested in her palm for a moment as she was fighting with her tears of joy. Can reality be like a dream? She hoped she wouldn't wake up from it. For a while the elegant woman was just standing there, her heart beat heavily as if she had just ran a marathon but instead of being tired she felt being in a euphoric, energetic state. Once she managed to contain her happiness a little bit and calm her racing heartbeat slightly she noticed a note inside as well. While one palm was holding the ring securely with her other hand she was already taking out the small paper.

"If you wear it tonight, it means 'yes.' Last chance to flee Mrs. Tenou."

Even more teardrops ran out of her eyes gliding down her cheek and she shook her head smiling. One more retouch of appearance but she didn't mind it even a bit. She kissed the ring before slipping it onto her finger feeling the happiest she had ever been in her life, shining more than any other time in any lifetime.

--

That night the critics were amazed, it was the best performance of Michiru Kaiou so far in history. Telephone calls from media companies with requests were flooding her agency, and the audience was cheering in a standing ovation not wanting the evening to be over.

But Michiru cared for none of these. She was just seeing the handsome blond woman who was smiling at her warmly from the first row of the huge concert hall wishing to already be in her arms.

--

As the door of the dressing room opened, she didn't hesitate even for a second. She threw herself into Haruka's already awaiting arms hugging her as tightly as she could. Her eyes were watery from all the excitement and happiness and she chuckled.

"How rude..." she teased with shining eyes which locked with those deep green orbs that always made her knees go weak. "Rings should be put on by the one who confesses."

A pleased smirk was what she got as a reply and before Haruka sealed their lips together in a passionate kiss she remarked: "Oh, don't you worry Mrs. Tenou. I will just do that in front of the altar."
