In the world of films, Benedict Cumberbatch has taken centre stage as the role of Doctor Strange and the new breath taking trailer for Doctor Strange released. But Cumberbatch will be taking on another big movie role. Except this time, he’s turning… Green! Yes, you read that correctly. Cumberbatch will be playing the iconic character of The Grinch.

Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange

The Grinch was created by the wonderful children’s author Dr Seuss. There’s been numerous Grinch films and TV adaptations. One version was in 1966 with “How The Grinch Stole Christmas” and another version in 2000 with the crazy Jim Carey. But it’s time for Jim to give up and let Cumberbatch steal Christmas.

Jim Carey as The Grinch

The announcement was said yesterday at the industry showcase CinemaCon. Cumberbatch fans have got excited as his voice will be back after Doctor Strange. I’m sure he’ll give his heart and soul into it. Cumberbatch is famous for his iconic role as Sherlock Holmes in the BBC One hit TV Series. We now all sit here patiently until some kind of promotion poster is released or a trailer pops up somewhere.

“How The Grinch Stole Christmas” will be released in November 2017.
