OK, so what's with the Mountain and the Hound? Where are their parents? I want to know how they were raised. Why so much hate? Besides the fact that the Mountain burned the Hounds face in their childhood. Why are they so angry? So many questions I wish can be answered.

Alright, so let's get started with how Game of Thrones changed my perspective on life.

Well, I would like to start my story with this, I never gave Game Of Thrones a chance. I was always told by friends how good the show actually is, from the storyline to the plot.

Now that I have given it a full chance to embrace the narrative. I fell in love immediately. I was hooked by the third season. I couldn't get enough of it.

What actually had me hooked was the dynamic of the storyline, multiple families with multiple issues in all walks of life, something we can all relate to.

Well now for the actual nitty-gritty stuff that made me take in this show a little bit more personal.

The disabilities shown and expressed in this show is a life lesson, a life lesson hopefully for all of us, from Tyrion, Jamie Lanister, Prince Doran Martell, and Brandon Stark, all with different disabilities.

Now, with me not being disabled, I can never fathom the difficulties one can encounter. The troubling emotions each character face in different scenarios has shed light on this issue.

I now somewhat realize how words can affect a person. It can be masked and hidden away, but truth be told, it lingers emotionally and mentally. It hinders your thoughts as you go about your day.

A person can be very hard on themselves, thinking you aren't worthy, thinking and feeling you are not the same. When, in fact, you are and do matter. Thoughts can be a dangerous thing if you continue to put yourself down and repeat those terrible words to yourself.

Tyrion being disabled has proven such things are so. Heʼs very intelligent and very wise with words. I'm more than sure about that when his own family used terms against him that has had a huge emotional impact. Especially from his father on season four episode ten, which lead to what we all know... his demise.

Imagine being born into a strong family such as the Lannisters, and your father constantly reminds you that he regrets having you as a child, making sure you know it too. This dilemma would make anyone uncomfortable in their own skin.

With only one person on his side, the big brother he could ever hope for, Jamie Lannister is most likely the only reason Tyrion continues to be himself. Aside from his drinking problems and timely humor, Tyrion shows how, in a difficult setting one must always vanquish and triumph in the face of bigotry.

Now that we learned in later seasons what happens to Jamie, you see the challenging obstacles he faces trying to do what he does best, which is fighting. One thing for sure, either brother has never let their actual talents go to waste.

They both stride in greatness in their own right. Displaying their absolute genuine efforts in still doing what they were both able to achieve.

Tyrion was the hand of Daenerys Targaryen, and Jamie the Lannisters prime knight. In season eight, (spoiler alert but not really) Tyrion belts in emotions to Jamie, expressing how he felt since a child. In the most heartfelt teary-eyed performance (shown below) acknowledging his brother in all the help he has given him before saying his final goodbyes even stating.

"If it werenʼt for you, I never would have survived my childhood. You were the only one that didnʼt treat me like a monster. You were all I had."

This statement pretty much summarizes my theory of how words can really have a damaging effect on oneself. And it is to be used wisely and cautiously, when expressing yourself to those who aren't as fortunate to have similar functions as you.

Now in season five if you remember, when Jamie told Cersie he will return their daughter from Dorne, she ridiculed him for having one hand and found it impossible to be done.

In this time, is where Jamie mustʼve felt ashamed with her choice of words. Little did she know he was determined and sought out Bron from Black water for help.

Getting the training he would need to engage in battle with his new disability. Jamie, Determined and ambitious, completed this mission. Showing us all the importance of not giving up, even when the odds are against us.

Now after reading all of this, you can finally see how this show has changed my perspective on life. I now view things a little differently and will be more considerate on my choice of words.

In a world where not so many understand the importance of feelings. One can now somewhat understand through this show, how these exchanges can be perceived.

In the end, the world of Game Of Thrones showed us discipline, dedication, and that anything is possible. Even a man in a wheelchair can be king... such as Brandon Stark.

In conclusion, be kind to one another, be patient, show respect, and remember.. words do kill, and tongues can be daggers too.

Below I posted some great stills and videos I liked from the show. Please do share your thoughts. What did ya really think of the season finale? ([email protected])
