'I really don’t know what my t--s have to do with it'

Emma Watson recently made waves for her recent partially topless #VanityFair photo shoot and she has a response for those critics who viewed the image as hypocritical of her feminist views.

In an interview with Reuters, the #BeautyAndTheBeast star addressed the ridiculous controversy by stating that feminism is about choice and the freedom for a woman to express herself the way she chooses to. She states how the controversy revealed to her "how many misconceptions and what a misunderstanding there is about what feminism is."

Feminism Is About Choice

"Feminism is about giving women choice. Feminism is not a stick with which to beat other women with. It’s about freedom, it’s about liberation, it’s about equality. I really don’t know what my t—s have to do with it. It’s very confusing.”

She admits that the whole debacle has left her "confused" and "quietly stunned."

Acclaimed fashion photographer, Tim Walker, photographed the talented actress for the Vanity Fair spread and in a sea of other beautiful images shot by him, Watson posed topless with a white shawl draped over her shoulders, sparking backlash from some critics.

Emma Watson: "Feminism, feminism... gender wage gap... why oh why am I not taken seriously... feminism... oh, and here are my tits!" pic.twitter.com/gb7OvxzRH9— Julia Hartley-Brewer (@JuliaHB1) March 1, 2017

Watson reveals how excited she was for the shoot and briefly described the process she experienced with photographer Walker:

“We’d been doing so many crazy things on that shoot but it felt incredibly artistic and I’ve been so creatively involved and engaged with Tim [Walker] and I’m so thrilled about how interesting and beautiful the photographs were."

Emma Watson's Humanitarian Work Speaks For Herself

In 2014, Watson was appointed as a United Nations Women Goodwill Ambassador and helped launch #HeForShe, a UN Women solidarity campaign which calls for the advancement of women around the world. She famously gave a speech at a special event focused on gender equality that same year and continues her humanitarian work, most recently speaking at the UN taking a stand against sexual assault.

... Clearly her incredible work for the betterment of women and equality for all is automatically disregarded because of all the numerous images she shot with a professional photographer for a renowned magazine - including some where she is rocking a suit - one image of her partially topless is just too much!
