K9 Makes His Way To The Red Carpet In His New Film
Forget Jurassic World, Fast and Furious 7 and Spectre, K9 is coming to Cinemas in 2017!
A film you'd never think would ever happen, K9 is beaming to screens in his new film called "K9-TIMEQUAKE". K9 is now High-Tec!
Put Star Wars aside as K9 will be the latest Robot Star on the Big Screen. Sorry R2D2.
In 2017, it will be 40 Years since K9 first appeared on our screens. K9 first appeared in the Doctor Who Story "The Invisible Enemy". After that, K9, has been one of Doctor Who's most popular and iconic characters.
The film has been written by an original creator of K9. This is Bob Baker. Baker is a reowned writer of Classic Who Stories. After Doctor Who, Baker then decided to co-write alongside the animator Nick Park. Of course Nick Park is famous for creating Wallace and Gromit. Baker also helped on the film "Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit". The film won Oscars and Baftas.
"K9-TIMEQUAKE" is a Multi Million Dollar Movie. It is set to be full of action and adventure across space. Deep space. Heroes, Heroines, Androids and Aliens are set to appear in the film. Not only that, a familiar face from the Whoniverse is going to make an appearance, Omega!
The film is to be a UK co-production with exteriors filmed overseas and studio work planned for the UK. Exciting stuff.
The film is going to be released in 2017 as part as a 40th Anniversary Celebration for K9. Just like the K9 Spin Off Show in 2009/10, this is NOT a BBC Production.
Get ready to fly across Space!
