Kit Harington's Reaction to 'Being A Dad' In Season 8 Of 'Game Of Thrones' Says It All!

Daenerys sharing a bed with Jon was perhaps the most craved scene in Game of Thrones by the fans. It doesn't matter to them whether Jon (rather Aegon) is indeed a Targaryen or is the rightful heir to the throne (well, that does raises some issues). Incest was a common affair practiced by the Targaryens. But, Season 7 has given us a real cliffhanger related to the fate of Jon and Dany. A fan asked Kit Harrington, 'Do you become a father in Season 8?' And his reaction is priceless!

His smile says that he isn't gonna spoil it. Or was he ruminating on his memorable moments with Dany on the bed which made him smile? Well we don't know. But Kit definitely knows and he isn't gonna reveal it that easy. Jon (his name might be Aegon, but he is Jon Snow first) is the rightful heir to the throne as revealed by Bran. And if somehow he survives the Great War (we sincerely hope that he does!), he is going to need a successor. He swore an oath for the Night's Watch relieving himself of the burden of having a family, but who remembers that? He is a man of honor but from the looks of it, oaths are going to be broken in the final season. He isn't the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch now. So, reality check!

"Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the shield that guards the realms of men. Now to the more important question, if Kit is indeed gonna be a dad, would Dany be the mom? Well, it seems like a obvious line without the need of reasoning. But Dany can't be a mom, can she? Mirri Maz Duur had seen to that in the opening season. She was responsible for the death of Dany's child with Drogo.

"Saved me? Three of those riders had already raped me before you saved me, girl. I saw my god's house burn, there where I had healed men and women beyond counting. In the streets I saw piles of heads... the head of the baker who makes my bread, the head a young boy that I had cured of fever just three moons past. So... tell me again exactly what it was that you saved?"

However, we are not sure that Maz Duur had been telling the truth. She had murdered the infant from Dany's womb, but Dany should be capable of giving birth to more, thus pushing on the bloodline. Hence it's still unclear what Dany meant when she said, 'I can't have children'.

Or the smile signifies that a great plot twist is waiting behind when the curtain rises and the fans have absolutely no freaking idea of it! Well, this show is all about startling twists and turns and we wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be one. What if the mother of the child isn't Dany? However, the chances of someone other than Dany are slim to none.

Well well Kit, your little smile just pushed us into deep thoughts about your fate as a dad. And we sure as hell want you to become one. A little Jon is what we need now in the final season!
