A marvelous novel about losing someone you love, and learning to cope with anxiety and take a chance on life.
Queer Rep: The main character's best friend is an adorable lesbian, and she also has a girlfriend who is involved in the plot.
6. 'The Rest Of Us Just Live Here' by Patrick Ness
A boy with OCD living in a fantasy world, but he's only a background character in the Indie Kid's fight to save humanity.
Queer Rep: His best friend is a gay god of cats.
5. 'The Upside of Unrequited' by Becky Albertalli
Falling in love is no fun, especially when it's only ever one sided.
