Loki Reunites With Sigyn

Sigyn, Loki's Wife From Asgard

As I’m waking up, I hear voices. It seems like they are on the other side of the room. Where am I? Who am I? Why do I remember two different lives? Do I remember another life? Or am I dreaming? At that time, I stop thinking and start listening to the conversation going on in the room.

“There is a magical block in her mind. All magic has a fingerprint. I’m not sure who put it there. I’ll have to go back to the Himalayas and see if the Ancient One can help me.”

I’ve opened my eyes at this point and seen who I will come to know as Dr. Steven Strange leave the room. Dr. Bruce Banner, Thor, Loki, Iron Man, and Hawkeye were all in the room and continued talking amongst themselves until Clint saw that I was awake.

When Dr. Strange gets back from the Himalayas, he informs everyone that this magic is not from someone on Earth. Over the next couple of months, Dr. Strange and Dr. Banner work with me, doing research, trying to figure out from where the magic may have come. Loki and Dr. Strange have been trying to unlock my magic. It’s unclear why I cannot access it, but it’s frustrating. They both have their own ways of teaching, too. Dr. Strange has me doing drills designed to focus my concentration and develop my powers. Loki, on the other hand, is all about getting in touch with nature and discovering yourself. Training with Loki is obviously more relaxing, and I enjoy spending my time with Loki. For all the mischief he’s done in the past, he’s surprisingly a very patient and gentle teacher. His way of explaining things is also very eloquent. I could listen to him talk for hours.

I’ve gotten up early today. I’m always excited when it’s Loki’s day to train me. When I meet him in the common room, he says we’re going outside to a place in the forest. He leads me to a clearing in the woods behind the Avengers’ facility. As we were walking through the woods, Loki is talking about how nature is all connected, like the veins in our bodies are all connected, and how both magic and nature are veins in the universe. So, if we can connect with nature, we can use magic more effectively.

As he’s coaching me to look into myself, I start feeling some tingling running through my body. I open my eyes to tell Loki and I see a patch of tulips have grown around us. I look at Loki and he’s got this sweet smile on his face. I get so excited I jump towards him, hug him, and kiss his cheek. As I’m saying thank you, I notice that his arms have only now circled around me. And when I look at his face, his cheeks are flushed. I now feel awkward and start pulling away. I start to apologize, and he takes my hand and says, “Please, do not apologize.” He looks into my eyes and with a smile he says, “I liked it.”

And as we stare into each others’ eyes, I feel Loki’s hands on the small of my back, pulling me closer. At this time, it’s become painfully obvious that my lips are bone dry. I lick my lips which makes Loki look at my lips and then back to my eyes. As our lips push together, I feel a tingling sensation through my entire body, and as we continue kissing, I start to feel light on my feet. When we finally pull away, we keep looking into each others’ eyes. I notice something strange out of the corner of my eyes. I turn my head then I look down. We’re hovering about a foot off the ground. I then feel panic and look at Loki, who seems amused.

“There is no need to panic,” he says as he puts a hand on each one of my arms. We start lowering slowly, and then touch ground. I’m very confused and Loki can tell. He sits us down and explains that the more I use magic, the easier it will come to me. And then it hits me; we were just kissing. Oh, geez! I can feel the awkwardness that is in me begin to emerge. I no longer know where to look. Do I stay sitting? Do I stand? Oh, geez! What do I do? I’m not sure if Loki realizes what I am thinking, but he says, “I’m sorry. I’ve been wanting to kiss you for awhile now, and I thought you…”

“Yes, I’ve wanted to kiss you too, I just…” I interrupt Loki.

“I just never knew if I should…” Loki interrupts me.

“I know, me too.” I interrupt him again. We both take a breath and smile. Then I say, “In case you were wondering, I’d be okay if you’d want to do the kissing again.” I lower my gaze and bite my bottom lip, feeling very awkward at the same time. Loki smiles and says, “Yes, I think I would like it if we kissed again.”

He then leans in, arms around my waist, and kisses me.
