Creating an awesome and memorable movie poster is a pretty challenging feat so when the few beauties stand out, they stand out. With 2017 slowly creeping up, I figured there is no better way to celebrate the end of another movie year than listing six of the best movie posters to come out of 2016.

1. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Creates Hype From Top To Bottom

#RogueOne is certainly one of the most anticipated films of 2016 and this IMAX poster is incredibly pleasing to the eye from top to bottom. The poster showcases all of the characters we will all discuss endlessly with X-Wings and U-Wings set over the Death Star's exterior.

2. Simple And Elegant Is Key For This La La Land Poster

The marketing for #LaLaLand has been illustrating how beautiful the cinematography and colors of the film are, so seeing this sleek, black-and-white, Saturday Night Live-esque poster featuring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone only works to enhance our excitement for the upcoming film.

3. Star Trek: Beyond's Throwback To The Original Motion Picture

The third installment of the recent #StarTrek franchise paid homage to the original 1979 Star Trek: The Motion Picture movie poster with Chris Pine's James Kirk, Zachary Quinto's Spock and Sofia Boutella's Jaylah front and center.

4. The Valentine's Day Motif For Deadpool

Nothing says romance better than a grinning Ryan Reynolds and Morena Baccarin starring in a film that will clearly bring out all the loving couples on Valentine's Day called #Deadpool. I wonder what it could be about.

The debate between groups discussing whether #SuicideSquad was good or bad will continue for the ages. One of the better parts associated with the film is this vibrantly colored IMAX poster that contains the icons of the lead squad and also declares "We Need Them Bad."

6. This Vertigo-Inducing Assassin's Creed Poster

There will be legions of video game fans huddled up in a corner somewhere chanting, "please be good...Please be good..." when the adaption of #AssassinsCreed releases next month. This image of Michael Fassbender's Aguilar de Nerha in mid-Leap Of Faith is a pretty cool shot and enhances the hype surrounding just how entertaining the film might be.
