Just keep swimming, just keep swimming.

In the sequel we always hoped for, Disney-Pixar is finally returning to the deep blue sea this year to follow-up 2003's Finding Nemo. Expect old faces and new to take to the water in Finding Dory, as original cast-members Ellen DeGeneres and Albert Brooks team up with the likes of Idris Elba and Diane Keaton. Disney-Pixar has released (via USA today) a whole host of new pictures of who is new to the aquatic adventure, so lets take a dip.

Director Andrew Stanton has added gangster sea lions, puppy-eyed otters and speechless loons as our Nemo alumni set out on a long journey. After a bout of her infamous amnesia, Dory attempts to find her parents (Eugene Levy and Diane Keaton), which leads her to the Californian Marine Biology institute where she was born and raised.

The Otters

Sure to be a favorite of the children watching Finding Dory, it looks like the new addition otters are to be a merchandising hit. Stanton stated:

The truth is, otters are quite vicious. But no one wants that to be true. So we didn’t follow that. The otters ended up being more successful as cute creatures that just stare at you. We knew the effect they have on people.

Rudder and Fluke

He also cast Dominic West and Idris Elba at the two cockney sea lions named Rudder and Fluke. It was an impulse to have the characters voiced with a Guy Ritchie-esque swagger and the two are said to have brought comedy to the role, perfectly matched as reunion from their time on The Wire.

The loons

As for the loons? Well we all know that the annoying and menacing seagulls were a highlight of Finding Nemo, but it looks like their crown could be slipping. The silent loons will be filling that position during the location move to the Californian Coastline.

Meet the rest.

Rounding off new additions are Hank the miserable octopus (Ed O'Neill), Bailey the beluga whale (Ty Burrell) and whale shark, Destiny (Kaitlin Olson).
